Delta Sleep songs always get me. Their songs are like these upbeat sad songs-kinda makes you want to dance while you're longing for someone; kinda feels like when you're at the beach looking at the sea, happily watching your life pass you by. Super creative band.
Wow I can't believe I used to go to the same uni house parties as these guys!! I think that makes me officially cool because of osmosis and stuff. I breathed the same rarefied air etc!! I remember seeing them at the Cherry Tree pub Canterbury, which when at max capacity holds about 75 people and now they tour the world!! I remember even back then saying to them "wow guys, that shits math-amphetamine!!" great to see people you know and liked making it big!! The guitarist Glen even let me sleep on his floor for a few weeks when homeless, so hes real nice too!! I remember being totally jel too, cos he never seemed to practice guitar and yet was very talented where as I tried all day but never was as good. But that's talent eh god given, Keep it up guys and love the music!!
Awesome story! Stick with guitar if you truly enjoy it, Glen definitely put the time in at some point just like everybody does! First couple hundred hours on guitar is pretty rough in my opinion, this coming from a drummer who has been slowly learning guitar for years now😛Cheers!
Such incredible rhythm, its as if they know exactly where to put every single change up and transition back so seamlessly. Reminds me of This Town Needs Guns.... a lot, which is one of my favorite bands. More bands with this style and ill forget all about the past 3 crappy years
