I would love to do this with my future apartment, I've always grown up in a non-organized house so I'd love to do this to feel like I have control of what is set up and organized
Well there aren't a lot of restocking areas in places that aren't big cities, at least not in the places I've lived, and even then I've not heard of them outside the comments section of youtube videos. There's a very real possibility that they either don't have access to one (like me), or don't know about them.
Yeah, I've only ever heard of one zero waste shop, and it was in CA, probably LA area. I did see one of these gals saying they recycle everything they can.
omg every city should have a restock store for people like this. its like a grocery store, but with ginormous restock bins. i would definitely shop there
@@beckytaggarttrunnell1650 seriously. All the container they’re taking stuff out of is recyclable except maybe the tide pod bags. I’m not sure why they’re complaining about waste since stuff needs to be either thrown out or recycled when it’s empty
legitimate question here, why would someone need powder detergent, liquid detergent, detergent pods, cleaning booster, and then also scent boosters, fabric softener, and dryer sheets? Are these for different types of clothing? I can see having some unscented for kids clothes and scented for adults, or maybe you hand wash some of them? I don't know, maybe I'm not laundering correctly
I agree it’s a lot, but every load I do, I use Landry sanitizer, detergent, scent booster, and matching scent fabric softener 😅 With also matching scent dryer sheets
I can only speak for myself, but I use the “dark wash” detergent for my dark clothes, free and clear detergent for the children’s and my clothes, add Oxi to the whites, periodically use sanitizer for the towels (kids sometimes leave them bunched up in their room after shower while they’re still damp), fabric softener, scent booster (particularly for the towels and bedding), and I’ve been known to use the “active” odor protect fabric softener for the stubborn gym clothes and/or during sports seasons. Then the dryer sheets to match the scent of fabric softener where applicable. ETA: can’t forget the Woolite for hand washed delicates.
I just don’t get why they feel the need to get a giant jug that requires three bottles of detergent to fill up. If you buy bulk at Costco and move some product into a smaller container for ease of use I get it, but they are literally pouring it into containers that are 4x as heavy and harder to move around?? Not to mention if one day your glass container breaks, you will lose so much product… ugh
it's because they don't want to refill several times everytime it runs out ... so they put it in a larger container for it to last .. and also for aesthetic look .. maybe they only put it in one place since they have separate spot for laundry area they don't have to carry or move it in different places
@@KatieGibbs Me too! But not for dryer sheets. I use wool balls for the dryer. I want them for my laundry detergent. I use the earth breeze laundry sheets, and would love to have the stone container instead of the ripped open package.
watching these is so weird because on one hand it’s nice and satisfying to watch but on the other hand it’s annoying that they have SO many things and feel the need to move them all into nicer containers for seemingly no reason?
Especially when it's not on display. Outside of "hey come look, we redecorated or installed a new laundry room" no one will see your collection of definitely expensive glass containers full of chemicals
Genuine question; are scent boosters really necessary? Usually in my country the detergent is enough to smell nice and then it's dried outside. After that laundry just smells like the sun.
Ikr a girl in my class came over and she was like omg! Your so organized! I can’t believe you have ocd! Like bruh who told you that? Don’t assume. Even tho I do
We have glass containers like these, because there's a shop at the end of the road that accepts bottles and plastics that are sent back to the company and resued for environmental reasons. Now people are doing it for Instagram.
Before I started watching these videos I never understood why there was such a huge problem where some kids would accidentally ingest cleaning products, and I totally get it now. It's the same, easy open glass cookie jars or literal beverage taps that are made for lemonade etc that they do in the kitchen. It looks close enough in the eyes of a kid and I'm just providing a kid's perspective not attacking people personally or saying they are a bad parent. It's just you may not have thought of this perspective and that's ok, but I'm not attacking you. It doesn't matter if you use custom labels or not because odds are kids won't read it because they're in a safe environment where they're used to grabbing food and going off to do kid shit, and that's a good thing they're just kids. You can totally have a clean safe env with a nice adult aesthetic, but just go about it slightly different. It's safer to use different colors, fonts, styles of jars (It's not necessary to have everything in glass jars you can use ceramic etc containers) to color code the environment than sitting down and explaining to your kids to know not to eat something in the laundry room and expecting them to remember it. Hell even typing do not eat on the jar in big letters on top might help... but any time I see kids items in a restock video and I see them reloading in the same clear glass jars I cringe a little and after seeing so many videos doing the same thing without seeing any comments about it it's about time to say something.
I was thinking the exact same thing.. when they see colorful liquid stuffed into crystal or glass bottle with a pipe that’s an accident waiting to happen
I ate laundry soap when I was a toddler cause I thought "if it smells good, it must taste good!" This was 20+ years ago, long before people were making their laundry stuff pretty. Kids are just curious and goofy🤪
I take my tide out of the container because I can’t get it open. My hands are too small. I have everything on a high shelf above my washer and dryer. You don’t know what their laundry room looks like. Also the problem was TikTok challenges for TEENAGERS to eat tide pods.

I agree in some aspect. Like yeah it gets thrown away anyways so why not at least make it look cute, but when it’s literal laundry or dishwasher packets that need to stay away from moisture in a new container that cannot provide what it needs, then I don’t like it. It’s ruining the product
