He started his TH-cam channel in the mid-2010s, which has since grown into a popular platform for discussing faith, lifestyle, and music. Known for his insightful commentary on Christian living, culture, and personal development, Ruslan has built a community of followers who value his thoughtful approach to contemporary issues. In addition to his TH-cam presence, Ruslan is a speaker, author, and advocate for godly ambition, often addressing topics related to leadership, mental health, and the integration of faith in everyday life.
Our mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people to live a life that Blesses God, in accordance with His word. As the Psalmist proclaims, "Bless God in the great congregation, the Lord, O you who are of Israel's fountain" (Psalm 68:26 ESV), and "Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name forever and ever" (Psalm 145:2 KJV). Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

I agree that Sean McDowell sets the precedent for gracious yet solid historical biblical ( if that’s the correct term term) views. I want to be that kind of Christian.
Agreed 👌🏼♥️🇿🇦

This is awesome, Sean's a great role model for how to deal with people you disagree with.
I agree with you about using Sean McDowell, Wes Huff, and Gavin Ortland as an example of how to show gracious respect and Christian attitude. I am trying to model my conversation on their example
I have been listening to Sean for nearly five years and have never heard him be belligerent. I have learned so much from him about the gospel, and about how to have gracious conversations.
This isn’t a brotherly disagreement, this is clearly saints against devils.

Sean did the right think in his code of conduct. People like you are nuisance to the community. People like you care more about wining the debate and smear the opponent rather than addressing a situation (connecting people in a way) that would impart correct knowledge to astray people would come into christ.
Luke 5:27-32:
“After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax booth. And he said to him, “Follow me.” And leaving everything, he rose and followed him. And Levi made him a great feast in his house, and there was a large company of tax collectors and others reclining at table with them. And the Pharisees and their scribes grumbled at his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”

Are you for real? I’ve never seen such a judgemental comment. Couldn’t be more “unchristian”
@@elisebartley1333 It’s not judgmental, it’s a fact. Also you haven’t read the Bible, you CAN judge others, but you WILL be judged by the same standards. So I can’t say homosexuality is wrong while being homosexual.
Nice clip, Ruslan 🙂 The question Brandan asks about "show me why/how?" .. I think we miss something here. I think we forget that having a leader means following their way, even if we don't fully understand why. Sometimes human leaders are not to be trusted, so we have to stand up to them, but God is perfect. Sure: it may not be clear what God is saying to us, so we should tease it through and examine it, but if God says it - as our loving "leader" whom we've accepted and asked to change us, we need to accept things we don't understand. My mother often used to tell us to do things, and when we moaned and asked why, she said "because I said so!" As I grew up, I saw why those things she couldn't explain were important.
If we need to understand *and* agree with everything God says before we do it, then we don't have a leader/ trust him.
We're leading *o ur s e l v e s.*
I've watched lots and lots of Sean's content, I've never seen him be anything less than humble, cordial, and kind to his guests. Apparently some people must think that a different opinion and a little pushback is "harsh"?
I think its like I said above, if the pushback doesnt appear harsh, then we wonder if the pushback even registered with them.
Both of you should get Beckett Cook on....has his own channel, amazing testimony 👌🏼♥️🇿🇦
I think both of them have - certainly Sean and Becket are friends.
Yes. Beckett is amazing. I think he’s done Sean’s show. Can’t hurt to have him again.
Thanks for this conversation. Sean is the best.
Love rejoices in the truth. Love loves righteousness.
As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. - Titus 3:10-11
Both of these gentlemen do a great job of upholding the clear biblical truths in a respectful and gracious manner. I respect not just the intelligence of these guys but the presentation that they bring and clearly standing firmly on the truth of God's holy word and the personhood of Jesus.
Being kind but firm and poised. Pushing back in a patient way and listening, while at the same time pointing to the truth. All this takes a great deal of spiritual maturity and, I'm sure, strength from the Holy Spirit. This is a special gift from God, and I am thankful for you, Ruslan, as well as Sean and Wes. "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment."
I love that Sean is an apologist and nerdologist, sporting the New Mutants and other 90's comic book era goodness. He's the same age as me and I love that he leans into being himself and not a so called formal Dr.
He is just so authentic and it shows through. He's not interested in putting on a mask to gain clicks and subs. He's interested in Truth, period. And the most noteworthy aspect of Sean's pursuit of Truth is he is such a good example of "they will know us by our love" while he is living that out.
I actually for the first time saw Sean pushing back firmly on his last conversation with Sprinkles. It was very refreshing. I appreciated him and the clarity he provided on his own convictions. Great work.
I thought Sean handled the conversation masterfully, with truth and grace. All Christian dont need to expose, oppose and pusch back against false teachers in the same way.
The fact that Brandan can't provide one single scripture that supports same-sex union or marriage is proof positive that his position just totally falls apart.
I heard a wise man say that homosexuality must be shown to be wrong based on how it goes against God’s design. It’s telling the Creator, “I don’t respect Your boundaries and design for life. I want to handle it how I want to.”
Or it’s like saying “I’m an adult who was born with an attraction to the same sex, so I’m going to have a consenting relationship with the same sex.”
@@blackdynamite3288- nah.
The 1st part of your statement is incorrect for starters, therefore the 2nd part which follows the 1st is therefore incorrect as well.

Good conversation. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on making into Bretts trailer Ruslan!! That was kinda dope
The point of something being a sin is not the harm it does here on Earth. Its the harm it does to you in eternity by separating you from God.
Speak the Truth in love, that's all you can do, the Holy Spirit will have to do the rest!!!
I think Wesley Huff recently set the standard on how to deal with people who pervert the word of God. In his recent discussion with Billy Carson, Wes was kind but very direct, demolishing the unfounded views of Carson. In this world where any and all opinions are considered acceptable it is important we demonstrate there is, most times, a single right answer.
Thing is, we shouldn't try to befriend false teachers. They need to be refuted, rebuked, and warned about. Simply "pushing back" isn't far enough.
It's maybe not exactly the same situation but I can't help but think of David Wood befriending Nabeel Qureshi while he was still a Muslim and that friendship remained through the both three years it took for Nabeel to come to accept Christ as Saviour and Lord and then continued as he became a defender of his faith in Christ Jesus. Many people apparently told David he was wasting his time, yet David continued faithfully and many are still being reached by his testimony helping to bring them to faith.
💯%
@Loulizabeth The difference is, Nabeel wasn't posturing himself as a Christian teacher.
@zachilten8064 That's true, but should we simply give up on false teachers ever getting saved and do nothing but refute and rebuke them and warn others about them. If they are enemies of the true gospel aren't we to show them Godly love.
Obviously that needs to be done with wisdom but I'm not convinced that you're so right or that it's what do the Bible teaches, and I'm saying that in full awareness of Jesus calling out the Religious leaders of His day.
They were also roommates in college. It’s not good to hate your roommate.

Have you watched his video directly? I would strongly advise you to do it.
@@dennisthemenace4288he said it himself
Yes, we need to show the harm. Having the data on how certain sexual practices harmful needs to be a part of the apologetic.
Mike Winger did a four part series on the LGBT and the fourth one was all about secular arguments against the LGBT. He covered the poor physical and mental health outcomes like certain cancers being more prevalent, STIs, bowel issues, higher rates of depression, smoking, substance abuse etc.
He also discussed the greater longevity and exclusivity of heterosexual marriages and highest rates of DV being in lesbian households. He even took a lot of his data fron LGBT websites and publications.
He argued against it as providing a poorer ɓasis for human flourishing. Its very good and I think could be effective in reaching those who are unmoved by religious arguments.
I love Mike Winger. I binge watched his 30-hour exegesis of women in the ministry when my church was headed in an unbiblical direction
The best part about Sean's Romans 1 conversation with BR was Sean (politely) backed Brandan into a corner and made him admit that his bedrock issues are eisegesis and can only be supported by inserting extra-biblical material to make the logic work... Brandan's (paraphrased) words... not Sean's. I pray for him, but at time of commenting and video release, I do not consider BR to be a good tree bearing good fruit. Pray for him and may Jesus capture Brandan's heart before it's too late.
Wait, is there more to this conversation?:-) I agree; I think Sean is one of the best at modeling disagreement, not backing down and yet doing it with grace and love.
We need to trust the Holy Spirit to highlight the Truth in a conversation between people who disagree about the Bible. Thanks for modeling that.
Enjoyed this video. Thanks
Brandon is the king of mental gymnastics
Our own behavior is not our savior, the death, burial, and resurrection. The blood of Jesus is what saved us.
I don't view it as giving someone a platform. While it does give the person "exposure," a conversation like Sean MacDowell's WITH the person has the potential to expose flaws in the person's position. That, to me, is a welcome approach.
I agree look at how God used the Billy Carson Wes Huff discussion to bring people to his fold.
Man I'm so bummed I'm going to miss out on conversations like this! Tried to make it to Bless God Summit, just isn't going to happen! But I'll be in San Diego in May for a conference, lol, 2 months too late.
WELCOME TO APOLOGETICS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!
We are coming to a point where the line between evil and good are much more pronounced.
We should be seeing the non believer not following Jesus. The gain is your being seen by their followers and to save 1 person is a win for The Kingdom of Jesus.
I watch you guys so I do know how to have loving conversations with people who do not know Jesus or may follow this different Jesus.
Here is a good example of how a person can use his best abilities and intellect and use it against the gospel.
Brandon: "Why is it wrong?" Me: Well, if you put the key in the lock upside down, there may not be any immediate harm, but it is still wrong, and the door will not open.
And moreover, I believe the issue of "harm" is a diversion. The true issue is design.
Please pray for me I have constant anxiety
Praying for you. Reciting and applying this verse helps me with my anxiety.
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Philippians 4:6 ESV
When it comes down to it in regard to Brandon, it’s an obedience issue, not a clarity issue. Scripture is clear, the problem comes in when they want to twist it to fit their own personal views. Feigning ignorance isn’t an excuse to discredit what’s plainly written.
The elect is not deceived. Every sin leads to death and truth to life eternal.
I often listen to views that I oppose. The holy spirit tells me if they have any merit at all. "Eat the meat, spit out the bones" is an old saying for a reason.
Holy Spirit didn’t tell you that…why listen to anything bony. You have pure meat in the Bible….the Holy Spirit would rather guide you through the Bible than help you discern non biblical teachings from some random “teacher”
@WordMadeFlesh777 At what point did I say that I don't have extensive knowledge of scripture? Why would you assume that I go about this in some haphazard fashion?
@@WordMadeFlesh777I assume because the meat is attached to the bones, so you kinda have to.
Ruslan you should bring up Phillip shipman. Very interesting guy!
What other things that have long been viewed biblically as sinful are now considered "pure and righteous" by some people besides homosexuality?
We cannot make our own definitions of Love, when it goes against The Holy Father's will and nature of Love. By doing that you are actually acting malicious towards Him,and the nature of mankind itself. Like a beast, and disguising it under the word Love.
Whatever is not good for God is also not good for us. This isn't love, it is hate and if you hate God, you love to practice sin. It is that simple. Truth be told.
My answer to Brandon's harm question is, who is even qualified to judge the harmlessness of something like that? It's impossible to know there is no harm, whereas it is responsible to say there might be harm.
I watched this episode. I'm very curious to see what the backlash was all about. 🤔
Even if you are “platforming” an anti-Christian teacher, that still doesn’t mean it’s the wrong thing to do if the context of that platforming involves clearly exposing their twisted lies for the good of the truth.
We can’t devolve into the tribalistic mindset of modern cancel culture, which says, “I don’t want to reason with you, I want you to be forced into silence.”
Can you link that CDC data?
Would you be able to somehow provide the articles you referenced in this video?
"may potentially be an enemy to the gospel."
Seriously Ruslan? He couldn't be more blatantly satanic. 😔
Yea . Grow a pair
@@bopcooper8974 it may have been sarcasm
I think it was a general statement -- there's a range of people both more and less heretical than Brandon who "may be" enemies of the Gospel and at some point it becomes a matter of opinion where to draw the line, or whether to draw a line at all.
I think Brandon is someone who just wants to live a homosexual lifestyle so he'll twist the Bible to fit. Actually it may be worse than someone who acknowledges what the Bible says and outright rejects it. Brandon makes it look like it's just a matter of interpretation and traditional opinions. At least the first person is honest that they don't agree with the Bible.
I think the truth is Brandon doesn't want to accept the obvious teachings of scripture because he's comfortable living in sin. He doesn't want to die to the flesh and he wants to have his cake and eat it. He's spiritually self-decieved. Let's pray for him.
Bingo
Claiming Jesus made mistakes is straight up a false gospel and is something an anti-Christ would say.
And it was important for Christians to hear him say it out loud.
That conversation with Brandan Robertson was fair. Nothing next to belligerent at all.
Thank you both for irenic discussions among Christians and with non-Christians. Like Sean, my heart aches for Brandon and what, likely seems obvious to Sean and others, lead him into the welcoming arms of an already rejected homosexual community. Where Christians could have stood up for him when he was younger and defended him from humiliation and torment, they either stood by or participated. It is no stretch that Brandon could seek comfort, affirmation and sexual gratification outside the norms of Christian marriage.
However, now...in my limited and humble opinion, it may be time to keep Brandon's teaching away from the body of Christ while simultaneously loving him. It is very difficult. Prayers up to my struggling brothers and sisters.
Brandan also believes that Jesus changes his mind over time. He responded to my comment on the interview video stating such.
Praying that Jesus will change his mind, that he repents and backtracks, for the sake of his salvation and to the glory of God.
Greg Koukl from Stand To Reason is another guy to check out.
I like the approach from love and gentleness perspective, and am not saying I have a diffinitive stance on platforming nonbelievers, but doesnt the book of 2 John clearly rejects welcoming into your home (platforming) those who bring a false gospel? "9Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; 11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds. 2 John 1:9-11"
Thoughts?
the problem with the 'harm' argument - just look at all those straight pastors who have been exposed recently. They did a hell of a lot of harm, and were not gay.
There was a pause needed at the 3 minute mark
I don't think this lgbt "preacher" is correct, but I can't help but notice that his apologetics regarding homosexuality are... not that different from the apologetics regarding women preaching, and how this condemnation had to be read within the context of why Paul made such declarations.
Consent vs submission?
Why are there so many muted words? How am I supposed to accurately understand those sentences?
I normally feel Sean doesn’t push back hard enough, and is a little too soft, but only just. But his interview with Brandon in my opinion was the perfect amount of push back. That being said, I’m not the one interviewing, and I know Sean loves the lord and does his best to be lead by the spirit so if he’s being too soft in my opinion he could be being lead to be soft and if he’s being to harsh in my opinion again that could be because of the leading of the Holy Spirit.
14:00. Pope St John Paul II: Theology of the Body.
I feel like appeals to "the data" from evangelicals fall a bit flat considering that most evangelicals deny the overwhelming scientific data confirming biological evolution via common ancestry and the age of the earth. Where are the videos where prominent evangelicals are calling out their fellow believers for denying the science of evolution?
Not even scientists agree on evolution. This shouldn’t be a hill to die on
There are plenty of valid reasons to be skeptical of the theory as a Christian
This is exactly what I'm talking about. If you want to pick and choose what data you accept then you are free to do so but you can't then expect the gay affirming Christian to just accept your data on the harmful effects of homosexual behavior now can you?
I guarantee you there are more social scientists who disagree with that data than there are biologists who disagree that biological evolution is a fact.
The theory of evolution is as supported by the data as the germ theory of disease or the theory of gravity.
I think it’s good that Brandon is present in the current conversation. And if Jesus was fully human - and every Christian must profess the two natures of the God Man - he must have ‘made mistakes.’ We just don’t see any in the New Testament, at least I haven’t seen them. Jesus had desires, feelings, biases, and delusions, even if we are not aware of them. I know Brandon interprets some of Jesus’s actions, as reported in the gospels, to be mistakes, but I have disagreed with these interpretations. Also, to be clear, I don’t equate mistakes with sins, even though many mistakes are sins.
Yeah, I wanted to make the same point. I'd be quite willing to say that Jesus "made mistakes" because that's part of being human, and mistakes are not automatically sinful. The line that should be drawn here though is that scripture is pretty clear that Jesus was the "spotless lamb" who was tempted in every way as we are yet did not sin.
Sean tough on Brandan??? Yall havnt seen Jeff Durbin and White interview with Brandan
1 Corinthians 5 be careful
Potentially????
Why censor the video so heavily? Some of the words being censored are used in the Bible even. Let the truth speak, demonetized videos still reach hearts and minds. It makes parts of the video unwatchable imo
Pause …
The show me the harm is not a good argument for a Christian perspective. If you are a Christian then you want to please and obey God. There is no “harm” in idolatry if you worship Zeus. It’s such a bad argument
The use of the word love is open to too much interpretation. In a relationship, “charity” (equity) may be more appropriate? Such as, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
The word charity comes from the Latin 'caritas' translated from agape in 1 Corinthians 13:13, which most English translations is the word 'love'.
Biblical love is not open to as much interpretation as youmight think. It is a self-sacrificial love as Jesus teaches, when someone lays down their life for another, John 15:13.
Thomas Aquinas, described charity (caritas) as "the friendship of man for God," which overflows into love for others. He defined love as "willing the good of the other" (velle bonum alterius).
This concept is deeply rooted in 1 Corinthians 13, where caritas (translated as love or charity) is described as patient, kind, and selfless. It reflects God’s love (agápē), which seeks the true good of others rather than selfish gain.
WHY ARE WORDS BEING BLEEPED OUT???
I don’t know if I completely agree that statistical data is the best way to explain why homosexuality is wrong. Honestly, I think those statistics show the consequences of that type of relationship. But I think at its core those exist because it’s sin and sin is harmful in that it separates us from God and His Will/purpose. Those statistics make a good case as to why it’s not practical but not necessarily why it’s harmful.
It depends on who you're talking to. If you're talking to a Christian, then noting that it's a sin is an important part of the case to be made, and it should be enough, though even then being able to show statistics would help support that point. If you're talking to someone who doesn't even believe God exists, telling them it's a sin won't be convincing at all. They would have to be convinced God is real before having any hope of taking sin seriously, but a good set of statistics might stand a chance of convincing them.
@ I don’t disagree. I was more so saying in the context in which Brandon asked the question (or at least how I interpreted it). The statistics show risk but that does not prove it to be wrong Biblically. They more so aid in why it might be a bad idea. I just figured since the discussion was within Biblical context it makes more sense to keep the arguments Biblical.
@ Oh, I gotcha now. Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking in a more broad context.
The issue with debating Brandon is you’re allowing him to think he has something valuable to say. You basically make him feel like a “real” player in the Bible leader game.
I think I understand gentle pushback and trying to help people in a constructive way, but how Brandon presents his arguments just irritates me. After watching videos of Brandon I always end up feeling like the gentleness isn't going to work and he just needs to be straight up bluntly called out for what he's doing, and let God sort him out.
I think plenty of other people are doing that. Sometimes Jesus took that approach, but often He was more gentle. He always knows the appropriate response in every situation.
The first comment I saw on this epitomizes what's wrong with this video and with both Sean and Ruslan's theology. It's MAN-Centered. The best question to ask and answer is how would Jesus deal with Brandan? Then maybe how would Paul?
Consider this. Jesus fashioned a whip of cords and took it to the backsides of those who had turned His Father's House into a den of thieves. How much more do you reckon He would/will do to those who turn His Word into a LIE and bears false witness against Him in His own name?!
At the end of the day what will be the final outcome of Brandan and all his ilk? Here's a hint: It won't be Jesus sitting down and having a Kumbaya Moment with them. If you look at the final enduring result it should give you a hint as to how Jesus would deal with them.
Sean talked about how he made it clear that Brandan has a different Gospel and a different Jesus but is he sure that he doesn't? I'm pretty sure Jesus wouldn't be sitting down with Brandan and having the kind of conversation with him that Sean did. How possible is it that Sean and Ruslan have a different Jesus too?
He’s a straight up enemy of the gospel. I think Sean was graceful in the conversation, but maybe didn’t even push back hard enough
So many words are silenced on this video it's almost unwatchable.
Romans 1 last verse don’t agree with them or have to do with them. Condone, agree, or wish them well in their choices. You end up in the same position by agreement. Is it for views? Likes? To hope it goes viral? Well that would not be good. It’s not like the young man just started this when do you obey the scripture and have nothing to do with them? All good things to think about.
Ephesians 5:1-14, Titus 3: 9-11, even 2 Thessalonians 3 busybodies.
So, say what you will and show the love of God but don’t get entangled with a person that causes division or you will be considered as the same. “Why yuck it up with someone that blasphemes your Holy Lord?”
Sorry not buying what’s being sold on this one
There is no hate quite like “Christian” love 😢
And there’s no actual tolerance like secular “tolerance”.
@ lol! tolerance is tolerance? How about love=love and for that matter, love=God!
It would be unloving to tell lgbtq people that their lifestyle is totally fine. Sexual orientation doesn’t have to define you and such desires can be overcome. Of course it’s hard, but with trust in God such sin can be defeated. No different than a drug addict overcoming addiction.
Brandon's gospel is not ours, his Jesus is not the Jesus of the gospels, his god is not the one true God of the bible, he has no logical basis for his claims, nor does he have any ultimate authority over his morality. May the Lord Jesus show mercy upon him and bring him forth from this darkness and reprobate mind.
Why continue to have this conversation with a person who very clearly has such a disdain and disregard for the Word?
@@username97112 Disregard? Maybe it's fairer to consider he has a different interpretation of scripture.
@@PaoPanama Interpretation only stretches so far until it becomes denial. There is no way to explain away that Jesus is the Son of God through whom all things were created unless you *outright deny* scripture. There is no way to conclude that Jesus *isn’t* the only way to salvation unless you *outright deny* scripture. The homosexuality discussion with him is honestly secondary because he rejects the CORE tenets that make one a Christian or not.
Why did Yahweh Lord of Hosts instill a desire for the same sex in some humans? How does an erotic relationship with the same sex affect a community? Why do celibate monks and priests disdain the erotic desire that Yahweh Lord of Hosts instilled in them?
Might as well ask why some humans lie more than others, some steal more than others, some deal with lust more than others, some over eat more than others.....etc.
I say this with Christian caritas, do you realise human nature was broken by the fall of Adam and Eve? This brokenness includes the introduction of same sex attraction that wasn't a part of God's original creation of Adam and Eve's nature.

It seems then that it as a sin is treated differently than other sins. like its clear what God says in the scripture, why do you need specific consequences that result from it? sin brings death, spiritually and physically. the outcomes on a lot of sins can vary depening on the person sinning and the people around them it impacts. I know there is data on the risks involved, but putting the burden of proof on the person they are discussing with, when the proof is already there scripturally then why ask for determinate negatives? It seems a bit confusing and circular reasoning, because we can show data but then he can say well that is not so much a negative form our point of view, or i reject those notions that these facts are negtaive and harmful. And im done, because anythign further and I would be talking in circles hahaha. just thoughst and questions. no criticism or unjustifiable judgement in any of this towards brandon. just analyzing the paths of reason.
