  • PART 1 [REUPLOADED] This actually started out as a pandemic project. It is a model of an International s2500/2574. This is a 1/24 scale Styrene Plastic model. The entire truck is handmade except for the wheels, which are 1/24 Italeri Semi truck wheels from ebay.
    The cab itself is made of 1mm(0.04") thick Styrene sheets from ebay.
    Plastruct Bondene Cement (2oz bottle) was used to bond the styrene together.
    PART 2 - • HANDMADE INTERNATIONAL...
    This truck was never intended to be and will never become an rc model.

    Absolute amazing. I am building truck models in 1/87 scale with modifications, kitbashing and/or scratch.

    I have been trying to make a conventional truck from blender on my 3d printer and it is a pain...I finally found something promising...thank you sir.

      I've been using Blender for years but before I learned how to use it, I used a simpler modeling software called 'Wings 3D'. On occasions I would often export the OBJ file from Wings and import it into Blender to use there.

    Tobe, Excellent work!! In the comments, you replied that you use PVC & not polystyrene. Why is that?

    • @Tobe.smallcars
      @Tobe.smallcars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is actually Polystyrene, not PVC. I have a habit of incorrectly calling Polystyrene sheets PVC sheets. Though similar, they are two different materials. Thanks for bringing it up.

      Thankyou. Well, I didn't make the wheels myself. They came from an Italeri truck kit. Those are the only things I didn't make myself.

    Great work. But I can't find a video of the chassis. What do you make it out of?

    • @Tobe.smallcars
      @Tobe.smallcars  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Chris. The chassis is aluminum.
      I actually didn't make any videos of the chassis. When I made the chassis, I didn't even plan to build the truck. I was bored during quarantine and wanted to test my skills with the aluminum lol.
      I made it with two pieces of 1/2 inch aluminum C channel. I just grinded them down until they looked like chassis legs.
      Please let me know if you need any additional information.

      Wow. You're right Lol. That's my fault. I'm truly sorry bro. I could've done a better job showing that. I'm probably gonna have to make a separate video showing how it was done.

      Bobby, thanks for the tip. I have a little bottle of styrene scraps in acetone. Someone told me about it a few years ago and I've been doing it ever since. Thanks again.
      When you say pattern, do you mean blueprints? I actually make my own. Let me know if you need any more help to make your own, I will gladly offer whatever assistance I can.
