Can't wait to see you all play live at St Mary's . Massive John Martyn fan here. Seen him many times and you are really doing all the songs justice .. infact never heard the lyrics so clearly😁 beautiful sound .. good luck all 💚
Last night in Falmouth... I'll say it again, one of the best music performances I've experienced - regardless that it's some of my favourite songs. Thank you ❤️ I think even John would have been spellbound! ✨
Gosh I am so so excited at this AMAZING Project. Just came across this by chance by the email of Folk Radio UK and played this small introductory video. I am a super fan of John Martyn and saw him numerous times when he visited Belfast. I grew up with all his albums. Especially, Bless the Weather and Solid Air and from what I hear on this video you as a group have shown great respect with his songs. The timbre and sound to his voice are so unique and almost at times on some of his songs becomes another instrument that is warm and homely sounding. It's also great to see Sam Brookes involved in this project as I am a big fan of his as well....just loved his last album Kairos. Maybe, some time in the future you might think of coming over to Ireland and doing a gig in Belfast where I know you will get a warm welcome because there are loads of fans of John Martyn (there is a lot of great promoters like Open House Festival and Real Music and the Cathedral Arts Festival and Eastside Festival to name a few who I know would be very interested in doing something with you). Wishing you all the best for the future.
@@thejohnmartynproject9672 I‘m a professional Drummer from Germany - based in Hannover ! One of my biggest dreams always was to play one day with John .. sadly it never happened .. so, if you‘re coming to my town - let me know ! Keep up the great work ! His / Your music must be heard by a lot more people !
I understand you're touring the netherlands end of january '20 can you plse publish exact tourdate's & places are you playing oss or utrecht friday 24th ? it seems they both have you sheduled same time
Insipid??!! PAH!! S'pose you'd criticize this fella too, Huh?? th-cam.com/video/QzEtsAsxcqg/w-d-xo.html "Out in deh street, dem coll it MOI-DAH!!......"
@ross fraser Understandable thoughts, but seems a shame to review from a 2 min sample. If you get the chance to see them live (at least 10x better and necessary to appreciate what they're doing) I imagine you might change your mind, or even open it.
