I don’t mention this, but gyoza can be cooked in various ways:
1. Pan-Frying (Yaki Gyoza): This is what’s shown in the video, and is most common. Gyoza are first fried in a pan until the bottoms are crispy, then steamed with a bit of water.
2. Boiling (Sui Gyoza): Gyoza are boiled in water or broth until cooked through.
3. Steaming: Gyoza are placed in a steamer basket and cooked until the wrappers are soft and translucent.
4. Deep-Frying (Age Gyoza): Gyoza are fully immersed in hot oil and fried until golden brown and crispy all over.

I love gyoza, the crispy bottom is amazing.
The BEST 😋😋
Dumplings are such an integral part of Asian cuisine, even in India we have sweet and savoury versions of dumplings. The crispy bottoms are my favourite part of gyoza!
I love that so much!! I need to try Indian dumplings!😋
Gyoza is my childhood food. My mom used to make gyoza the size of a hotdog that we called “mega-gyoza”😂 she said it was a lot easier to cook that way, since she used to usually make probably 60 or so of the normal size at a time. We would just DEMOLISH those.
Omg that’s AMAZING 😂😂😂
Am definitely going to try this, thank you! Also, side note, I love your food blog! It's so beautifully organised, and I really appreciate how you have the US and the M measure units available with the recipes. Thanks!
Aww thank you so much!! Many hours of work go into it so I’m glad you appreciate it. Still trying to clean things up 🥹💗

They’re from China! I talk more about it in my blog post if you’re interested 😊

No….this dough is too thick for gyoza
That flip made me audibly gasp. So beautiful.
Right?!? 😂 me too when I flipped it 😂
These remind me of when I was a kid and my Japanese neighbor would bring these over for our family. Have you ever made them with rice flour or rice paper wrappings?
I’ve done rice paper dumplings and will hopefully have a recipe up here soon 😊🙌🏼 I haven’t tried rice flour though! Is it good?
@@kyriethefoodie I have not, but I am going to this weekend to see if I can have some good gluten-free gyoza options. I am wondering if the wrappers will be very chewy like rice cakes.
I went to my first Japanese restaurant had this pork ramen and Japanese curry it wad amazing
Awww yay!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Taste so good
Thanks 🙏 Love 💗
Please tell me these can be made gluten free 🙏
