This location is actually in Kittitas County, so it's more appropriate to say you camped in the Yakima Canyon... not Yakima. Loved your hike to the top as I do it often, even during rattlesnake season!
After a month down here in Mexico, it’s so hard to think about having to wear mits and a jacket ! Bonus, snakes are most likely not out !! What a great view ! even if it’s a bit overcast
Our furnace packed it in recently, and I was unable to fix it prior to a trip to the BC interior at the end of September. I bought a Mr. Heater Buddy and used that in our trailer which is a similar size to yours. It's quiet, doesn't drain the batteries, and heats the unit really well. A friend has used one for several years. Mine is right beside a CO and propane alarm, and there are no detectable readings. Good luck, enjoy your travels.
Yeah those seem to be quite popular as well as diesel heaters. Might be due for a replacement at some point but our traditional heater is still hanging on. 😁
I liked the video, the slice of life of being on the road, the good choice in music, and some good dizzying aerial shots (Gotta play with that new drone, y'know.) Nice to think you're headed to some warmer weather soon.

Wow! I just happened on this video. I work at the Tree Top warehouse right next to that store. Been there almost 47 years. I hope you loved our little desert town!
As a retired Airline Transport Pilot on helicopters, I believe your issue was rotor blade icing, it has happened to me with my DJI 2 drone and in the real thing except the torque instruments indicates a power loss due to the ice on the main rotor blades so you get a chance to land before all lift is lost. We are going to Texas in April with our class A for the solar eclipse, cheers. By the way, we live in Maple Ridge.
Cool, we used to live in PoCo. Yes, as a Private Pilot myself, I definitely considered icing given the conditions, but it actually turned out to be something worse. After the video was posted, when I was packaging it up to send to DJI I realized that one of the blades had actually snapped clear off! It was hard to tell with the "floppy" props. So yeah, apparently it can't recover from that. 😁 But I hope to get an analysis and repair estimate from DJI soon. One of our future videos will include an update. 😀 Enjoy Texas! We'll be back home by mid-March or so.
Great video. Fished that stretch many times but never did the bridge hike. Always wondered what it would be like. If you go back through again some day stop at Reds Fly Shop that you passed, great restaurant inside. Always heals the wounds after a rough day of fishing lol.
I'd say you're in the "Yakima Valley" (Yakima County), versus the city of Yakima (5:20). ;-) I picked apples and cherries for a few days until the pros took over. ;-D I thought drones had a "return to pad" feature when low on power, I guess not all do? Ah, on your way back through Yakima, visit "Miners", on S 1st St for a Big Miner burger.
Yes, as it turns out we were in the Yakima Valley, but also made a day trip to Yakima (the town). It's a cute place. Most drones do have a return feature when low on power, and ours does too. Our drone fell out of the sky because a propeller broke off.
@@HomeARoam My brother lives a mile and a half from where you camped. That river is a fun day tubing trip in the summer (when it's 100ish out). Start near Ellensburg, end near where you camped.
We have a fairly large (200Ah) lithium battery bank so we've never had the need to run the generator for a few hours to top up the bank. And most places have rules that prohibit running generators overnight.
If you mean if we have the capability to plug into "shore power" aka. an electrical outlet, yes we can definitely charge our batteries that way! But this campground didn't have electric plugins, so the generator was our only option here when we didn't get enough sun. 🌞
I dislike people who use industrial generators instead of suitcase inverter type generators that are considerably quieter and more considerate of others in the campsite. I believe those types of generators over 64 DB should be banned in all campgrounds.
Yeah, that's what we have unfortunately. Both types are quiet noisy and annoying. When we do have to run ours (which isn't often) we're sure to do it during the day and during set generator hours if they have them (usually around breakfast and dinner). Some guy at the Yakima site rans his inverter generator all night long despite posted quiet hours and it was pretty annoying.

Definitely a tough adjustment ahead of you. We can't wait to shed our mitts and jackets!
Safe travels! You’re driving right by our house in La Grande. Please holler next time you’re in the neighborhood.
Sure thing! Thanks!
Safe travels! Looks like you left at the right time. I’m here in Wpg until Christmas then straight south on I94 to Las Cruces, NM and on to Tucson!
Safe travels! Hope you have good weather for the journey 🙏

Good to get to see you both on the road again.
Happy to be out exploring again!
Mel, love your love of sweets, bakeries and snacks! 🧁 🍩 🍪 🥧🥮

Really enjoy all your videos of all your trips and adventures they are also very informative.Mark /Julie from Oyama / Lake Country B,C
Thanks for the kind comment. We're glad to hear you enjoy our videos! Thanks for taking a moment to tell us 😊

That's cool! Yeah we had a great time exploring and would love to go back to see more one day. So many different varieties of apples grown there!
So many different types of apples! I would still be there trying to decide!😂😂
Boise Idaho is a lovely place to spend a couple of days! Enjoy.
Mel liked the Red Ruben the best. It was crunchy like granny smith, just bit tart and a bit sweet.
Another great video. Safe travels
Thanks 👍Here's hoping we don't hit any snow on the way south!

Had to watch this since we live only 60 miles from Yakima.
What a great area to live in

Lol, thanks for the tip! We love getting insider tips on where all the good food is 😋
Fun place to visit/camp by Boise -> Bruneau Dunes State Park
Thanks for the tip!
Oh no !!!!
No drone ! Not quite the start I think you wanted.
Yeah we weren't expecting that one! Thankfully we were able to replace it quickly
@@HomeARoam That was super quick, i didnt expect that in your video !!!!
neither did we! 😅

we live in yakima let us know on your way back canopy country best for RV needs
Thanks for the tip. We'll consider that when we head that way again. We're already back in Canada for the summer.
I know the exact spot you camped near Yakima
It was pretty good.

CONSTANT ROAD VIBRATIONS CAUSED TRIPPING THE BRAKER ????????
Not a bad idea, but I'm pretty sure it was working ok when we first pulled in... 😕
@@HomeARoam TIME TO REPLACE THE BRAKER. PITTING OR RUST ON THE CONTACTS ??? OPEN IY UP AFTER REPLACING IT ? HAVE A NICE TRIP ...
