Summerhill is a distant suburb of Shimla.The state capital of himachal pradesh at a height of 2,123 meters.It is on a hill ,5 km west from The Shimla Ridge,and is part of seven hill cluster
At a distance of 11 km of shimla old bus stand. Chadwik Falls is one of the best waterfalls in shimla region.

Summerhill is 7 km away from Shimla old bus stand.You can frequently use public transport to reach summerhill.There is also a railway station in summerhill,the world heritage shimla kalka toy train passes through here.
The Chadwik Falls located at an altitude of 1586m above sea level and the water cascades down a deep gorge at a height of 86m. This fall can be approached through Summer hill. Approach road is available and vehicles can get close to the enter point of waterfall from where about 15 minutes walk through thick vegitation will lead to the waterfalls. Trekking to the falls from Summer Hill is also an exciting experience.
The water in Chadwik falls is very cold, chilly and refreshing as it flows down with forceful rapidness from the Himalayas.
The best time to visit the Chadwik Falls is after monsoons during the months of July to October, when the water level in increased drastically. This is the when the Chadwik Falls looks stunning like scattered crystals. The sight of this sparkling waterfalls is a treat to the eyes. The fall is encircled with thick green wood and looks enchanting in the midst of steep hills of pine and deodar. This make the fall more exotic and ravishing. The fall is also a source of water for the foresters and tribes. A walk to Chadwik falls is exciting because of the magnificent view of the snow caped mountains.
Chadwik waterfalls are one of the highest waterfalls in india that carry the chilled water of Himlalayas. The waterfall does not carry much water in summer season and monsoon is the recommended season to visit this place.
