Hi. I really found this video helpful. I have been wanting to try couching with #43 foot and the Bernina embroidery module. What pattern did you use when you did a pattern over cord using the embroidery module and did you have to sew down the cord first before putting the pattern over the cord?
Choose your pattern carefully. You do not want one that doubles over itself or has a triple stitch, Single Line Quilt Patterns are great and the one I used came out of my Bernina embroidery quilt patterns in the machine. There are many patterns you can buy or you too may have something preloaded. Be sure you tell the machine which foot you are using so you don't have any mishaps. Thanks for watching and commenting, please like, share and subscribe if you have not :)
Thanks for this video. I especially liked the examples. I could not find the link to the Bernina Foot Book page you reference at the end of your video. Where can I find it?
There is a big sale on right now, it's a great time to get one - mysewingroom.ca/product/the-big-book-of-feet-a-guide-to-bernina-presser-feet-and-acces/ - if you call us you can reserve one for the upcoming delivery.
Love this foot. Need to use it more.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Please like, share and subscribe if you have not :) and yes Kris, you need to get the foot out and use it ;)
Brilliantly done! Another foot on my list! Imagine the butterflies on the garden party quilt!
Sounds amazing Kathy!!! Be sure to share pictures with us!
I liked your tips & tricks with the B#43 ft. Thank you. I'm mad at Bernina because the center hole in the ft is too small for a 2 mm cord! 😒
Thank you for watching and commenting. Some cords will fit if smooth and slippery - you always need to try them. :)
There is a new foot with couching inserts... #72 and inserts add on... mysewingroom.ca/?s=72+foot+couching&post_type=product&type_aws=true

Which do you think is better for couching, this one of #72? I have a B325, that doesn't have foot height control. I don't use a ruler.
The perfect one really depends on what size cord you would like to use
Good
Thanks
Can you recommend the cord you are using for this video?
