I think in the entire series, this is the first time we see Naruto go through so much....agony. The anguish with which he screams "HINATAAAAAAA!!!" and runs after her...like how can people still doubt his love for her? Many people don't understand this but Naruto didn't "fall in love with Hinata only because he realised how much she's loved him and for how long and he felt guilty". If you go back and watch ANY Naruhina scene, they've always shown to have a special connection. The Pain arc really solidified this connection. He literally "felt the worst emotion he's ever experienced" watching Hinata being "killed" in front of him. Go read the manga. It's canon. It's also explicitly said by Naruto. And by the War arc, Hinata had become one of the most precious people to Naruto and their special connection got even deeper to the point where Naruto literally heard Hinata's mental call for help when she was put under the Infinite Tsukuyomi. This movie was such a great development of their arc where Naruto FINALLY understands the concept of romantic love and thus, his love for Hinata. And watching his love being taken away so suddenly after just having realised it..was so brutal to watch. Naruto and Hinatas's development and culmination of their love is one of the greatest developments I've ever seen in any form of fiction. Thank you Kishimoto for giving us such a great story.
This is what I observed throughout just this scene alone, and it gave me something to think about and reflect upon, which I hope those who read my reply will also consider: if he didn't love her, then why did he look so shocked when she rejected him, become so stunned that he couldn't speak for a few moments, scream her name loud enough that Shikamaru heard him from their camp site, chase after her, demand that Toneri give her back while he audibly sounded like he was in pain, beg her to tell him that she wasn't actually getting married to Toneri, and then visibly look heartbroken when she didn't deny it? To give some context here, I have been in love twice, and both times I ended up being rejected (the first time) or dumped the day before my birthday (the second time). Both times, I went through a similar sequence to what Naruto went through: the shock, the stunned silence, demanding and begging to know what happened that brought upon being dumped since (to me at least) it came out of nowhere, and the heartbreak. For Naruto, the heartbreak lasted three days; for me, it lasted over a month, both times. Don't ask me why; maybe it's because I'm a rather emotional girl, I don't even know myself why I mourned for that long. My point is, if you have never been in love before, then you can never understand what Naruto went through in this scene. That's why I sympathize with Naruto and firmly believe that he does indeed love Hinata. If he wasn't in love with her, then everything that I just said, coupled with my personal experiences of rejection, and what Izzy said would not make sense at all. End my two cents.
This movie makes me have a "I dont know what to do with my life anymore" feeling after I watch the movie..its like...I've shipped these two for the longest time...now...my work is done...what now...😢💖
watch boruto?...I don't know..have you seen the end arc of shippuden?...or episode 480..those are solid..the last ep is the wedding 499 is a hinata centric ep..
Hinata: Naruto.... this is good bye naruto watches hinata leaving Toneri: we shall be wed Naruto: hinata thats a lie right??? Hinata: ............. Naruto is heart broken, losses his will to fight and almost gives up his dream and hope. I think this was important for Naruto to make him realize what his life would be without hinata i.e. empty. I think Hinata is very dear and special to naruto. He is always careful, nice, supportive, always smiling, never a jerk around her.
Well duh..Toneri is taking her away right when he realized he wants to spend his days with her time that they missed as kids ..he sees in her memories they could of and should of spent their childhoods and teenage years together side by side ...he wants to make up for it but right at that moment its taken from him
When you realize true love you want to protect it nurture it but Toneri takes that away which symbolized in naruto getting his chakra taken as his power lies in his emotions ...he was distraught ..sad. ..he felt like there was nothing left to fight for without hinatas love ..toneris role is to show naruto how he took hinata for granted and how many people don't realize what they have until its gone and it can be taken at the worst moments so don't take it for granted and be more aware then naruto earlier cause if you don't notice someone it may be too late and you will be missing out on pureness ..she waited for him but many won't ....he was punished for waiting and toying with her emotions and he almost lost her and by him giving up and Toneri destroying the earth it shows how not having hinata around means the end of narutos world since she was akways by his side which I wish they could of shown with the neji death scene but it hadn't been animated I Yet..atleat when the movie was made
0:58 when he screams HINATAAAA. It hurts by just hearing his voice after the “Naruto-kun sayonara” 💔 1:58 his face when Hinata not denying the marriage. Shock speakless heartbroken 💔 2:48 when the scarf that hinata took time and effort to knit just burn into ashes while naruto slowly close his eyes and the last thing he saw was hinata in the arm of another man that said to marry her.. 💔 Can u imangine the painnnnnnnn omg the ost
first legit heartbreak for naruto led to that and maybe the feeling of I waited to long?...but also he knew something was up in his heart and something inside told him shes lying and is being forced to and needs rescuing..he cant let her go..he wont let it happen...
It is almost unbearable as an emotional person(an INFP type from a psychological point, the same type Hinata fits in) to see how heartbroken Naruto looked like when Hinata rejected him. Right in this scene he just didnt know if this was a nightmare or the bittersweet reality. What really killed me on the inside is considering all the shit Naruto went through a particular "Sayonara" from a person was almost enough to give up his dream, his will to fight, hell maybe even his will to just move on. Naruto, who is so energetic, so ambitious and so inspiring when it comes to never stop chasing the stars drowing in agony, in misery, in sadness and sorrow. This scene gave me flashbacks of the fight versus Pain back then, when Hinata confessed her love and faced Pain in a 1vs1 battle just to grab that little chance of being helpful, even if it would cost her life. Naruto, who was completely shut on the inside due to Pains speech struggled with his thoughts anyway but in that moment when Hinata was stabbed and possibly killed(we, along with Naruto, didnt know about her being just injured when watching the scene for the first time)....he felt so guilty, he hated himself so much for just seeing how such a gentle person threw her life away that Naruto actually turned into the Kyubi and almost gave up his will to fight for the first time. I thought this would be the only time where Naruto really starts to give up but we had the scene where Neji sacrificed himself as well. This was also really sad(although I thought this was more of forced plot development)...but here? In this movie? I have watched this movie for 20 times or so and I still have goosebumps whenever I watch this scene where Hinata says "Sayonara". Narutos face...this music...Hinata not reacting or denying anything Toneri said...seeing Naruto so heartbroken really fucked me up. That moment when he screamed her name so loud that even Shikamaru and the rest was able to hear that...it reminded me of that scene, where Pain beated Hinata up. The anger towards himself, the agony, the sadness...This movie, although many people disliked it for being more of a romantic movie, I still loved it just because how realistic and relatable it was.
its sad but majestic and beautiful and emotional but also a little hopeful like the series...you can feel the future and peace popping from it..all is right with the world...they were close to extinction and instead had their first kiss
+Extreme Queen Spoilers: !!! its so sad and heartbreaking even though you know shes doing it for a good reason....i mean who couldnt have guessed that...shes too nice to just marry the taker of her sisters eyes lol...still pretty dramatic and well done score and scene all things considering...still gives you the feels especially narutos broken heart reaction....him screaming her name in the background is so sad...but the funny thing is as confident and caring she was in that scene for her sister...and unselfishly willing to be captured...and clearly shes doing it for the right reasons and its basically her choosing her sister over naruto which isnt wrong at all its actually right...but still inside it still hurts .... it still must have broken her heart to say that so coldly especially to naruto and have to mean it...this is what hinata haters fail to miss and mention she can be bold when it matters most...no matter the pain...she is as sakura says a genuine good person...maybe too good for naruto

Toneri takes hinata away then owns naruto with that guodama that drills through the whole moon. That was quite a scene.
