Savotta "hawu 4", pitching in snow

The Savotta hawu 4 is an excellent winter hot tent for two- three occupants.

Hello, Clearly the centre pole is under high compression, but I wonder if you have tried to see if skis would do the job of supporting the tent? thanks for the video, cormac

Moi, I have not tried with skis, and I wouldn't because they're not adjustable I length. Also using skis is maybe something you do with an hilleberg altai when you want to save weight, but with the hawu weight saving is out of the priority list anyways.
What does work:
• using a standing, living tree and building the tent around the trunk
• hanging the tent from a rope/strap tied between two trees
• suspending the tent from a bi- or tripod.

Thanks for the Information, i am going Back and forth about buying this tent. Do you think i can fit 2 normal sized Bunkbeds in the Hawu4? Like the Disco O Beds?

That will be a very tight fit, if it even fits. I think it's too big for the hawu
