Deep thinking, good questions. Do we need these experiences what is luring us to be tourists? Isn't it enough to know and be experienced only locally where we are living our life? Well, it is also complicated questions. I travel sometimes and justify it by larger understanding, even truth is that my "larger understanding" does not help anything. Another "problem" is my couple life, where another half is from other side of this planet. Least what we try to do is limiting our traveling between our two home countries, but we know that it is still too much for our planet.

Yesterday swam around small lake or better "lampi" near my childhood home village. It was interesting to see environment from different angle of view.

I'm lucky. I don't move from my back when I sleep. The sleep doctor thought I was until they gave me a sleep test. They came in after 3 hours to see if I was OK because I had not moved at all, and my reservations were abnormally slow. For me, it was just the way I had trained myself to sleep. I just cover everything but my nose and mouth. But what you say is how I taught my kids to sleep.

Nicely done. I went a different route. I ground off the rivets and used new rivets to attach the plastic ring to a rectangle of leather. Then stitched a MOLLE loop on the back of the leather. Attaches to a MOLLE belt higher up than the original which works for me. Although I do like your idea if I wanted it to hang lower.

I will try this in my Carinthia Defense sleeping bag. So far, I was not pleased with it.

A narrow backpack /Rucksack is better in some forests.

I will try, interesting ... but as mentionned by another person and if we speak about Carinthia Defence sleeping bags, the hole is just there for your nose (eventually your mouth) so there is no problem as you mentionned That's the theory I LOVE all my Carinthia but even if I sleep great (if possible try to sleep completely nude and use a liner by example a silk liner) and i use the hole just for the nose/mouth there were many times when I move the hole is not anymore on my mouth/nose so I loose some airflow and I wake-up, not very big deal but I do not like => so I will try something else and what you explained here, thx :)

The British Army got rid of the green pouches because they light up with Infra Red like a Christmas Tree. No good.

When ever it is possible, i take off as much of my clothing as possible - down to underlayer TShirt and short. ALL of my Clothes(including Boots in Winter) go with me inside the Sleeping Bag, part of it to the Feet another part becomes a pillow, maybe something becomes the collar. But YES - Take your Head out of it!
