I'm going back & watching stuff from 1997 (I was born in 1998) & my favorite gimmick was the Nation of Domination. I especially liked their "thugs" that rapped them to the ring.

Daze, that ribbon is actually the leather belt Faarooq used to wear around his waist and whip people with.
In 1:35 of this video, where they're all posing, you can see Faarooq wearing the belt.

I believe Faarooq would sometimes wear the belt around his waist. I remember he would sometimes hit people with it during and after his matches
