2021 Nova LFS HEV 9663 Bx5 + 2019 New Flyer XD40 7578 Bx4A at Simpson Street

Here is a 2021 Volvo Group Nova Bus LFS HEV #9663 in operation on the Bx5 to Bay Plaza via Story Ave and Bruckner Boulevard, departing the Simpson Street region in the Bronx. This bus was delivered on 8/17/21, and was being used as a snow loan from Kingsbridge to Gun Hill.
LFS = Low Floor Series
HEV = Hybrid Electric Vehicle
9620-9784 (165) are Base Order Units, while 9785-9910 (126) are Option Order units.
Also seen in this video is a 2019 New Flyer XD40, 7578, running on the northbound Bx4A to Westchester Square-Metropolitan Ave. This bus was also a snow loan from West Farms to Gun Hill. West Farms received eight New Flyer XD40s (7186-7189, 7198, 7576-7578) from Quill and Grand throughout late 2024, which helped them send C40LFs 351-353 to Gleason, and increase their fleet total.
Ironically, these loans ran in this area of The Bronx for a little while, despite snow not being present in the Simpson Street region of the city.
