My brain is in sponge mode when I fall asleep to your videos. The other day I spit out a factoid from one of your planet vids and was like, well look at that, my inability to fall asleep well is finally paying off. Much love to your creativity and dedication.
I’m your huge fan since pandemic times and you have NO IDEA how happy I am as an Indonesian hearing you reciting my local folklore 💕 Thank you so much!!!
I would love to hear more stories on Hindu mythology, even a longer retelling of the Mahabharata (longer than in this video, not full length lol). I find the intricate, winding, and often random nature of Hindu epics to be super sleep inducing.
Perfect timing for an afternoon nap! This channel has single-handedly improved my sleep far more than I can say. Thank you Mr. French Whisperer, your videos have truly made insomnia a bit more tolerable for me. I love your content and beautifully crafted videos ☺️💕
I’ve gotten really into Theology lately and one of the religions I’ve been most interested in is Hinduism, which makes this perfect for both study and relaxation. Great video and great job!
I fell asleep to this video and had the most amazing dream that I was at some sort of retreat surrounded by lots of water in which I swam and played like I was a kid again amongst my old friends and newer ones! I woke up feeling young and refreshed, not that I’m terribly old or anything…thank you for posting! This is definitely one of my new favorites!
This story is soooo good and told so well. Its just what i needed...I just started a new job and have had the normal jitters anyone has with new adventures. It's been a blessing to be able to fall asleep to your voice and feel refreshed every morning this week..... You're simply the best at what you do. Thank you. Scott.
Each of your mythology and ancient culture stories are even better than the last. I don't know how you exceeded the buddist and native American readings, but you never fail to disappoint. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I bless the day the TH-cam algorithm recommended me your channel, as a huge mythology and asmr lover, you channel is PERFECT for me. Amazing job really!.
I am so thankful for your work! I am such a nerd for cultures; that I had to listen to all of these in total before falling asleep to them because they are so interesting. Thank you! much appreciated!
Learning about beliefs of other cultures and analyzing psychology behind it is the most interesting thing in the world to me. Repetitive but very imagination-narrow motifs seen allover the world show that we are all the same species with same mechanisms behind our intuition, imagination and fallacies but also fears and desires. There's a strange sense of unity with all of humanity in realizing that all humans think the same more or less in some categories of life, mainly superstition. I remember in middle school, I was in love with names from Hindu mythology: Shilla, Sita and Ravenna are extra nice.
I suffer from very severe insomnia. Your voice has been my lullaby for months now. It helps me focus, to isolate the exterior world, and eventually relax enough so I can fall sleep. I love that the videos are long enough for me to go through that process, and that you bring so many wonderful themes. Thank you very much!
I grew up in a Hindu cult in the west. There was very little gold I took from those people, but growing up with these stories was something I’ll always treasure. Karna of the Mahabharata is the greatest tragic hero in all fiction.
Would you ever do a video on famous people who disappeared and haven't been found? Or famous Kings and Queens whose final resting place has not been discovered? Much love 💜
I seem to have viewed nearly every video you've made in 12 months, yet I recall about 2 of them. It's a weird juxtaposition. As ASMR, you excel at the craft and have an engaging, yet soothing voice that lends itself, in my case, exceptionally well to sleep and comfort. As a learning source, I leaned a few fascinating facts, however I'm fast asleep before I absorb them. A near 4 hour long topic on Classical Greek Mythology. Hercules and his labours. I fall into a good sleep. It's good though having this well informed person making ASMR. It's putting a stop to the fetishisation and sex oriented bend people just label ASMR. "I'm a foot you are a grape." We all know. It's not sleep. It's the m*****batory aid. This is pure ASMR. The satisfaction in Japanese sand raking, watching Golf. Squeezing spots. I visited Devon in the UK a lot as a child and youd see painters here and there. I'd watch for hours as the brush stroked canvas and they'd pause, drink Ribena and go back to dabbing the red on a night scene, a Bouy in the sea. I sat mesmerised and a frisson of pleasure took me. It was not sexual, but it was satisfaction. Like seeing a neatly organised bookshelf into alphabetical order. That low key satisfaction and ting in your collarbone and scalp. An ex Girlfriend was an artist. A wonderful one too. My father purchased 2 of her works at 100 pounds each. She was going to burn them. My Dad said something like "I love them. Don't destroy them. Please. I'll pay 100 for each and you'll do something not a lot of artists will have done... Sell a painting while they live." She accepted and although it was 15 years ago and my Dad died, her paintings live on.
Thank you FW for this video, so many interesting things to learn about cultures and beliefs around the world. You present these topics in a very interesting yet relaxing way. Hopefully you're enjoying the summer, take care sir🙂🌄
Thank you so much for the research and the time you take for those treasures that we call videos ! If teachers were a little bit more like you in your videos I feel like learning would be way more apreciated and easier even if I sometimes fall asleep in the middle of some videos ;)
