As the sun rises and transits the sky it charges the atmosphere causing significant interference with HF communication. Try listening in the morning or evening once the direct sunlight is over. This is when the majority of the solar radiation is being reflected by the atmosphere.

It’s a really good radio, sounds good and looks good gets along well with external antennas. Just be careful with being sure you have the right power source for it

Its too bad the speaker isnt the right one, i love the legendary Grundig sound and the German Satellits sure had it.

@@Aktenzeichen_007 Grundig changed to China and quality went down. So Grundig sent engineers to China to supervise production and radios improved.
jetzt habe ich einen kleinen Sangean 405, leider ohne SSB, aber hat einen guten Empfang auf KW / SW und auch UKW ist sehr gut.
