I just bought my first Chanel a few weeks ago. It's now with the Leather Surgeons getting the strap extended. Thanks for sharing this information! I wanted the bag so much that I was willing (though not happy) to suffer through the short strap and just wear it as a shoulder bag. But then you happened to mention LS in one of your recent posts and I instantly knew I was going to do it (especially after watching your review from a few years ago). So I'm now "patiently" waiting for the bag to return. I can't wait to be able to wear it the way it's most comfortable for me.

I looked at a lot of backpacks before deciding on the *hotdups* model. I'm so glad I did. It's a beautiful backpack and very well made. I bought it for an upcoming trip and I'm so glad I have it. It only took a few days to arrive so it was fast shipping. I highly recommend it and would buy again. It also makes a great gift, I really like it and would recommend it to my friends.
Very off topic but I love that you speak quickly! I usually change the playback speed to 1.5 when I watch my fave youtubers, never needed it with you, or I wouldn't be able to follow :)))
Anyhow, happy for you that you figured out how to make it work for you. And shame on Chanel that they don't offer this service for free. It would be only fair when you pay so much money for a bag.

Love this video, I find it very helpful! Especially now that I am considering buying a designer bag, I have my eye on an LV bag, *hotdups* , so I would love to watch that LV video and get your thoughts on their bags, I trust your opinions and views.
I had my cobbler add a small snap to my LV 2005 metis bag because I didn’t like it hanging open. My girlfriend chastised me for making an alternation thus ruining its resale value. (This was before inserts). I don’t regret having the snap at all. I don’t ever plan to replace this bag and it makes me more confident wearing it with the added security. Thank you for your shout out to the repair company. That’s what makes our channel friends special. 🌹

Since then, I have fallen in love with buying bags here, not only because they are cheap but also because of their good quality.

I had my chain extended with Leather Surgeons 24 hours after I bought it. Best decision I have made with a bag.

I bought a pre loved LV speedy 25. Payed more for it because the original handles were replaced with shoulder handles. It was sent in the company dust bag. For me, the handles I knew would be better. I use her all the time. My favorite bag. But it's the handles that makes it such an easier carry.

I have a suggestion.
What if we had a collaborative shared spreadsheet, a place where members of your lovely community could share their experience with third party providers for services like extensions?
Maybe a google sheet document, where you could add your experience with the UK extension company and their website, but also we could add our experiences with different companies in different countries, as a way to inform other people who might be looking for recommended companies more local to where they are based.

I have so many different lv straps I’ve bought separately, I want to cut the strap on a bag to use the other straps but I just can’t bring myself to do it ❤
