    I have watched a few (but not many) reviews on this, and not only is the Manufacturers background rather intriguing, especially considering that this "might" be their only firearm release, but the internals and functions are interesting to say the least!

    Budget priced. Good for a plinker.
    I bought several boxes of Igman 308 Win ammo about 10yrs ago. I bought it strictly for practice and it's great for that. Pretty clean burn and just as accurate as standard American ammo. It was priced right in-between Wolf and Federal High Shock so a great value for brass cased ammo.

    I got a chance to look at one in person at a local pawn shop. Nice grip very comfortable, but passed it up for a BUL Armory Cherokee compact with a better grip for a little more on the price plus capacity. Not bad for a pistol overall all.

    It looks and reviews like an excellent "house gun" type pistol. If I was not so far down the "Glock Highway" with magazines and muscle memory, I would get one of these. Likewise with the Arex Delta for carry.

    Thanks for the shooting vid - not too many out there. I've had mine for a couple of months but haven't fired it yet due to waiting for my Strike One slide to get back from getting machined for a optic. I want to shoot them side by side. I haven't really had the trigger reset problem - in many hundreds of dryfires its happened once maybe twice. The reset on mine seems very strong and positive, though - far more so than on any other pistol I own or have handled. I did notice that the ejection pattern in your vid was a bit erratic. I do love the ergos, though - especially the way the beavertail widens a little side to side. Keeps my fleshy, fat hands from getting slide kiss, let alone slide bite.

      @@GBGuns I got it on Gunbroker.com Different importer. I think it was around December 2019. I posted about it on a Canadian gun forum. They have been available in Canada as well. Those guys had to deal with dimpled magazines to meet the 10 round restriction and had feeding problems. Mine functions flawlessly, so I think their feeding problems were due to the magazines, which I consider damaged. I have put plenty of rounds through mine and really do trust it. The pistol was designed by an Austrian by the way. Same guy was on the teams that Wilhelm Bubits put together to design the Caracal, Steyr, and others if I remember correctly. If you don't know who Bubits is, he holds something like 100 pistol design patents, one of the greatest modern pistol designers. He designed the .45 cal Glock. These pistols have been around since something like 2013. They have passed NATO testing and are adopted military pistols. They are only new to US shooters. What I really want to get ahold of is the SPEAR trigger, but I can't find one in the US. The distributor in the Philippines for these pistols is Jethro Dionisio. He has threaded barrels for them among other things but can't ship to the US, I tried. Think about it, Dionisio is some pretty strong representation for these pistols. You can find videos of him shooting a Tara TM-9. You are shooting a pistol advocated by one of the best pistol shooters in the world.

  • @Chingus696
    @Chingus696 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So it’s a hybrid double action…
    DARE TRIGGER SYSTEM
    The trigger operation is striker-fired and its special DARE System (Double Action Rapid Engagement) resets the firing-pin after a 3mm release of the trigger. This allows fast precision taps after the first round fired in Double Action. After a misfire there is no need to rack the slide, a second striker action can be initiated by simply pulling the trigger again.
    I’m surprised you didn’t notice or talk about it as I could see the short reset during your shooting…. The first pull or if you let the trigger go all the way up is a double action long pull but if you keep your finger on the trigger you can play with the 3mm short reset. Very unique actually.

    • @encinobalboa
      @encinobalboa 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      3mm reset is exceedingly short. It appears the rest of the trigger travel is for compressing striker spring. For first round, it should not be too hard to compress spring and hold for aiming.

  • @PaulVerhoeven2
    @PaulVerhoeven2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem with the trigger is caused by a weak trigger return spring, at the front end of the trigger travel. Unfortunately, for a double action, the weight of the trigger is the sum of the trigger return spring and the main spring, and you cannot reduce weight of the main spring as it will have problem igniting hard military primers.

    Very useful review! I too like "obscure" European designs, being a Steyr fan myself. The "dinner" segment was impressive; it ate every round offered! What bothered me was the "gritty" sound of the manual slide racking---NOISY and not slick sounding at all like well fitted metal should be. Is your lubrication letting you down? I use motorcycle chain lube myself for lasting slickness. Thanks!............................elsullo

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We always run guns "out of the box" for these tests: a worst-case scenario of a buyer taking it from gun shop to range. I think the noise is the recoil assembly.

    • @barfo281
      @barfo281 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GBGuns Seems kind of weird to test a firearm in a way that no one should recommend new gun owners care for what will probably be their only gun for a while.
      Many gunTubers are doing that lately, shop to range.
      Wouldn't it be better to instruct people to always disassemble and lubricate their firearm per the manual before first use? Two shops near me tell everyone to do that, even people they know are seasoned shooters, as a matter of routine/habit.
      All these videos (not specifically yours) with box-to-range practices will just convince uneducated gun owners who seek info on TH-cam to just go straight to the range from the gun shop.

    • @barfo281
      @barfo281 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @elsullo2 -Why would you use a lubricant that is not recommended by a firearm manufacturer on their firearm?

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We always show a tabletop video first. We've had a couple guns that didn't run well dry and out of the box, but we commented on that, added appropriate lubrication and the gun ran fine. As far as what other channels show; a few of them simply don't know what they're doing. No training, no credentials or background, just a dude with a camera. It's up to the viewer to discern between information and entertainment.
