Tree Swallows (Tachycineta bicolor): Female Preening and Interacting with Male

A, mostly brown, female Tree Swallow (Tachycineta bicolor) is preening herself on a dead tree that, in previous years, has been used as a nesting site. A male, with blue-green plumage, flies in and the two interact.
