It was basically the first time ever performing it to a large audience in that type of room.. The pitch was lowered which is VERY common practise.. And the backing track is stripped back too by the sounds of it...
And I'm just putting it out there; Adele gets INSANE stage fright. Imagine the nerves? She drops this huge single and now has to do it live for the first time to live broadcasted audience. She definitely gets better and more confident throughout the song and I fucking loved it

Adele has such a dominant command over her billion dollar pipes it truly is breathtaking and gives me goosebumps every time I marvel at her exceptional gift that could only be from god. She is already a living legend and will be remebered as one of the greatest to ever sing
