I caught my ex girlfriend texting other dudes. A couple times late at night. So I told her don't do it again or that's it. She gaslit me to say I'm insecure because my ex wife cheated on me and I think she's like her. I told her disrespect is disrespect no matter if my ex wife cheated on me or not.
@@joeblass not well, she always had an excuse to throw at me. She is known for talking to people when she drank to she needed to talk to people when we hit a rough patch. There was always some reason to justify her actions.
Narcissists are masters of this tool as part of their toolbox of tactics and tricks. It’s very frustrating to deal with. It’s one thing if it’s from a stranger but if it’s from someone close to you, especially a parent that really hurts. I’m so glad you made a video on this topic Rom.
Man, this is some heat! At the end of the day, another person saying some shit is meaningless. Far too often, another person’s perception of you is just a reflection of what *they* want you to do and who *they* want you to be.
Thank you for this, I was in a toxic relationship where I let him and people at my work place gaslight me into thinking that I wasn’t intelligent or attractive. I didn’t know what gaslighting was or how it deeply affected me. However, I decided to go back to school to finish my Biology degree and continue my work In Project Management. Turning my “L’s” into “W’s”.
My mom likes to gaslight more then chain smokers like to smoke cigarettes. Of course it took me a long while to understand it all but it also took me a while to understand that just standing in my “I am” is more then enough to cut through all the lies/bs. Yea, bad that that has to be the case. But it taught me something very important and now nobody can really tell me shit. Especially not about myself. Not even her and she for sure likes to try.
Didn’t realize what gaslighting was until it happened to me in my last relationship. Did a number on my self confidence. Learned from it and refuse to allow it to happen again. I now understand now it’s just folks projecting their own insecurities in a manipulative way. Like that shirt though Unc. Big Respect ✊🏾 *also it was a way of avoiding accountability *
People assume much. They think they know who you are and what you will do. Young women growing up without fathers are thought to become mothers at a young age when it's not necessarily true. It's even told to them in a way to predict their future. Even "terrible twos" is a pronouncement that's unfair to two year olds. One person says that term and here goes the rest of us following suit.
Man Unc your videos always seem to pop up on timing I was just telling myself this when you know yourself there’s a confidence in you to the point people criticism bounce off you unless that person been there done that and have authority to talk about you

You will get that degree.
You're probably feeling alot better away from them. Itll be much easier to be successful in your endeavors without them.

I'm learning this lesson the tough way at this point in my life. I had to go no contact with several friends and family, and I have immense peace.

Just got out of a relationship where this was one of her primary weapons. Wish her the best of luck.
