I was a backer of this and absolutely loved it. I consider it right up there with the other recent successes in the “This feels like a CCG but it’s self contained” genre like Mind Bug and Radlands.
This looks fun. This is my only Kickstarted game but I've yet to sit down for a 2 player game night to play it. Smooth, straightforward spell slingling. It does seem like you might hit a point where you know you're going to lose and have to take the last few ceremonial turns, but I suppose that can happen in most games.
Waiting on my copy to arrive, I really enjoyed watching you guys play. Thank you! ❤️

Growth seems like the type of card that would need some clarification written into the rules. People could easily read it as modifying the actual power on all the mana cards. So that would make drawing a 1 impossible for windstorm and indeed make the three into fours for energy storm (and actually make fours into fives so they won't trigger). It seems odd that the +1 is applied to certain reveals and not others, so it should have either not applied to drain soul and other reveal triggers or also applied to the reveal triggers. This is going off the idea that there is no clarification in the books, just off of my musings.
It’s been confirmed actually by the publisher that this is exactly correct :)
You've got it right :) all mana power is modified, which means both Windstorm and Energy Storm combo with it.
Is there a reason why Nick never used his mana removal card to remove the card off of his “4 damage” card to double up on it every other turn?
Reckless Attack is a delayed spell, which only activate when discarded off of. Time Distortion picks up mana, which will not activate a delayed spell. If Nick had a spell that discarded a mana, then he definitely could have done that.

It has a digital version in boardgame arena. You should check it instead it might change your mind. For it's price and gameplay, this is my game group's new favorite.
