Depending on the dog breed, some of them won't "ask" for the "divorce" but will just get up and leave when they feel like it. I know that there are some dog breeds that are categorically known for running away and never coming back...much like what could happen with your spouse.
I have a question abt the marital home. It was bought 1.5yrs after we married and he put his dad on the deed and mortgage bc his dad paid some of the down-payment. I am disabled and receive ssdi and am a homemaker.... But my husband refused to put my name on the house. We have been separated and likely headed for divorce. If my name isn't on the house but it was bought while married, how would most jurisdictions handle this?
In most jurisdictions, it does matter how an asset is titled. Check with local legal counsel licensed in your jurisdiction for the specifics of how the marital home will be handled in the event of divorce.
The nice thing about the companionship, loyalty, and warmth provided by a dog is that they never ask for a divorce and require no prenup.
Agree!

Great topic that isn’t normally talked about; love today’s cameo.
