I love the part at 0:47 where it shows Shigaraki wearing the red cape and all of the debris floating around him, especially the huge metal pipes. That part just screams Akira to me.
As an anime only I’ve really enjoyed the tone switch through out the series, first 2 seasons were about a hero with unparalleled strength that faught to protect & now the latest last 2 seasons has been about a surge of calamity brought down by a man that has evolved into a God of Destruction

The Deva Path got one shotted by a rasenggan while Shigaraki took an attack that was similar to a nuclear bomb. If Shigaraki kills the Human Path and The one who summons The Gate of Hell. Well it's over for Pain lol. Everything Pain throws at him will be mad countered by Decay. Not to mention, Shiggy has all of AFO's quirks to his disposal. He can regenerate instantly. It's a pretty big mismatch, even base EMS Madara would die by Shiggy. But Edo Rinnegan Madara wins. If Shiggy was in the Naruto Universe. He'd probably rank higher than High Kage Level. Almost towards Legend Level to Demi God level.

This was such an enormous jump for the series, my wife and I were shook during this whole sequence. MHA reached new heights and really showed how strong Shigaraki is compared to AFO.

Remember when he had to touch a specific object or human with all his fingers to activate decay and it wasn't even that fast..now look at him destroying cities in seconds. Shigaraki's decay actually follows and decays anything that is connected to what he is touching,so if he is touching the ground then everything that is attached to the ground will get decayd as well. The decay also travels very far.. Easily the most destructive quirk of them all!! Shigaraki has awakened and we are all here for it (For me he is the main reason why this season is going to be incredible)

You have to imagine the satisfaction he felt finally being able to physically confront the heroes he despised so much rather than needing to stew in resentment any longer.

The way I watched this with my jaw dropped to the floor. I knew this would happen, but to see Shiggy destroy the city with literally one attack was chilling.
