  • Why do people LOVE Minecraft? There's more to it than you think.
Well, it’s time to answer that question the best way I know how: by making a MEGA Minecraft build. Obviously.

Sorry that it took so long for this one to come out, I taught myself the basics of animating for this video, and it kinda overtook my life for a couple weeks. I’m building towards a video every month, and I appreciate everybody’s patience.

One of my areas of particular interest in ancient history and the transition into the early middle ages. Minecraft has been a tool to explore all these interests and scenarios I can envision related that would otherwise never been seen otherwise. Being able to explore these vast and cavernous ruins with humble dwellings nestled within is such an interesting prospect unique to Minecraft for its accessibility.

also learning to animate as well? damn dude, keep it up! theres obviously still room for improvement with some of the movements being too linear or the effects still having some outline etc, but like.. for litteraly just starting it or having little experience? this is INSANE! i can't wait to see how your content evolves from here, considering it's already one of the highest quality channels I know.

not sure what you use for adding the effects in the animations, but if you don't already, i'd highly recommend using after effects and learning that. Most minecraft animators i've watched add them effects with AE, so maybe it's worth lookin into it. (If you already use after effects then uhh.. keep practicing and im sure you'll get the hang of it lol)

When I saw this video on my TH-cam homepage I thought, "okay, another very cool building video!" But HOLY MACKAROLY did this video surprise me!
The combination of storytelling, building, showing off landscapes, ingame cinematics AND for the cherry on top animated renders is just fricking legendary!
You seriously did a very good job with combining everything and hooking you viewers to the video. There wasnt a single moment where I thought "ahh, lets skip that part. It is boring".
And tbh I do not have to start with the quality of the entire video.
Your builds are simply out of this world and fit perfectly to this hooking story.
The cinematics and renders give that already amazing footage the kick to be unique and feeling whole.
Thank you for this awesome video and I am really excited for part 2!

What a wonderful video! People raise an eyebrow when I say I'm into Minecraft, mostly because I'm a middle-age woman, not really the usual demographics, although Minecraft does span generations. I say that it is my creative outlet at the moment. Sometimes I craft things irl - but then what do you do with the things you make? And materials/tools are ever more expensive. Minecraft is free on an ongoing basis. It has limitations just like real life, in vanilla we have a limited block palette, we have limitations with mechanics, but it's a tool, use it within it's limits and it can give so much. It's just a canvas, or an open notebook. Write, draw and express your craft in whatever way you please. And so I imagine this daft old woman will be messing with mc for as long as the platform exists. If people want to see my art - well, they'll have to log on and visit me :)

This is genuinely the best minecraft build video i have ever seen. I’ve seen you a couple times but definitely earned my sub on this one. Love your work

Totally agree, you are right. It is just GREAT to be able to make your ideas 'reality' by just building and exploring it. I love to do it as well. Keep up the good work

WOW!!!! I would watch this video in a loop.
So much creativity, and so much lore potential... I need to read this book!

Definitely should release the book as well. I’m actually surprised this has never been done before. Having someone build a Minecraft world for you book and put in some block commands is genius 👌. You could totally create an entire new genre

Genuinely proves to everyone and not just us who play the game that it's more than what it seems! Loved the video!

I'm ngl to you, but this video got me super excited. My favourite books to read are fantasy, and I devour books. Plus, I absolutely love minecraft, so this has just got me so fired up!

Your reason or why you do this is the same reason I got into dungeons and dragons. It might sound odd, and people might think it's boring because there is no visual components, but through it I can create massive, intricate world's, and I can share them with my friends. I've always had ideas I would love to make a videogame or a book about, but when I try it never works, and I hit a roadblock. I'm super glad you found your way around that block, just as I have.

You have said words that explain why I love Minecraft it's a challenge but also a beautiful endless game, I'm terrible at the game but I love it for what is possible and what I could accomplish.

    Starting with a simple question....
3 Minutes later: Bam: a whole f*king movie. Kind of.
You went over the top with the editing. Video and your channel are completly underraded.

"WOOAHH!" Was my very first thought upon seeing the thumbnail.
EDIT: Just wow, don't even know where to start! You certainly know how to tell a story, and I cannot wait to see where this project goes! I hope to read that book of yours one day.

DnD campaign when? This is sick! I love the story, when you said "They hunted them" at around 4:40, I literally got chills. That is so cool and gives me so many ideas for some worldbuilding of my own. Sucks that I'm really bad at reading comprehension because I can't focus longer than 5 seconds because of brain fasty go-go's. So cool, and I'm probably gonna build locations for my DnD campaign in minecraft, because that'd be so cool

I wrote this comment before I heard "I'm probably gonna turn this into some kind of adventure RPG map" lmao. I'll definitely download it, eventually lol. That would be so sick

    This video left me speechless!
The house/window analogy describes it perfectly. Like you said, there are so many aspects to the game and each could be its own game
The building process was interesting to watch
The story/worldbuilding you did yourself and shared with us
The editing and animation of Minecraft Characters
I can only say, this channel deserves way more subscribers and I wish you all the best!
