A better way to tip a dealer is to put the tip on top of your bet so that the chips are on top and to the side so the bet is kind of separated from your bet. This way you control what happens to the tip if you win. You can give it all to the dealer, keep some of the tip on your bet or put all the tip on top of your bet.

Basic strategy assumes an infinite number of hands. Over a small sample size, anything can happen. Like when basic strategy says to always double 11. That has the best chance of success against non-10's. If my stack is hurting and I have a large bet, I don't double an 11 with a 10 showing since that has least chance of a favorable result. Same with 88 vs a 9 or 10.

Never tip the dealer while playing. If you must grace the dealer, then do so at the end of your session.
If the game is honest, the dealer has nothing to do with the outcome.
Remember, the dealer gets paid. They are not dealing for free.

I've seen worst play like splitting faces against a dealer's face up 5 and dealer destroyed half the table with a 20. I just took a break and watch the player. Let me tell ya I didn't wait long as he was limited on his plays on a $25 minimum bet. ($200 is a lot) but the player didn't have much room to play. So no you're not the worst bj player. And I'm not bothered as it's entertainment ( it's just more fun to win 😂)
