    Really amazing accomplishment, thank you for the video. If I understood correctly you were on your last life in the final boss. Couple of really close calls in the absolute final moments. Makes the video and the accomplishment even more amazing, so many unbelievable sections in this run. Congrats, and I hope to see more videos from you :)

    Huge respect. My favorite ship too. This is one of the better scores on YT too!!

      Thanks. As for the score, it could've been higher, but survival was already extremely tough by itself, so I didn't bother too much with it.

      @@infirex7985 The stages put me in my place, and I mean stage 1 half the time. I've done a video on a few bosses from unlimited mode if you wanna give it a peep, it's just damn hard to get the routing down. Aegispheres are my nightmare and I've only just begun, haha. I frequently jumped into stage 1 between boss practice and as fun as original is, I find myself trying to cancel bullets in it. Wish me luck, if you have any pointers I'd love that, but clearly words can't exactly set me on my way when it comes to this x)

      @@EMMA-GAMES It's been a long time since I last played the game. Here are a couple of things I remember from the top of my head.
      General tips:
      - having experience in Arcade Original made it easier for me to start playing Unlimited
      - take advantage of i-frames when transitioning into break modes (and out, as well)
      - offense is often the best defense
      - it's often easier and safer to just use the lock-on in order to survive (stage 1 opening is one of the examples)
      - be prepared to do extremely risky strats if you decide on a non-Z ship, especially I
      - this took me 2 years to 1cc and I played a lot at times, so be prepared to work on this for at least this long
      Type-I specific tips (only used this ship, so idk about the other ones):
      - lock-on spam is very important for this ship because it compensates for its low damage output; make sure to tap at just the right frequency in normal and both break modes (doing it too fast or too slow isn't good for different reasons)
      - as far as I remember, the lock-on speed on this ship is the second highest among other 3 ships, with Z included
      TLB tip:
      - I remember discovering that its attack pattern with the yellow-black grain bullets near the end is affected by your position on the screen AND is static to some degree, which makes it manipulatable
      That's all I know at the moment without extensively studying my own replay.

      @@infirex7985 I can't thank you enough -- it's clear you have a lot of knowledge and this is going to help me a lot, I may be doing Z first if anything, and an original clear to boot. I hope it wasn't a chore to write and instead fun like I find write-ups, thank you again!! Cool ass tip on the tlb.

      @@EMMA-GAMES You're welcome. There's one more I forgot to mention: as far as I remember, the bomb line eventually actually reverts back to its starting position without the item pickup, but very slowly. It either happens over a long period of time, successfully entering and exiting break modes without bombing or dying, or even both.
      Good luck on your journey.

    I could... conceivably do a lot of this, but some of those boss firing patterns look evil as well as the last two levels. And that actual last boss with those tiny red dots falling along with the little black bullets....ugh. Really good playing!

    If I ever did something like this, I'd frame up a display in all the rooms of my house that played this replay on loop.

    Awesome run thanks for sharing. I love the fact that you used Type I and not Type Z. I plan to really grind out some hours in this mode too, I think when the switch version is released.

    Congrats! Especially on using Type-I, which makes the boss look way harder than what we, Type-Z users, are used to...
    Were the two deaths on ex-boss 1 intentional? I'm not into scoring so I'm not sure, but if they were not, I'm amazed you kept your composure throughout the rest of the fight, especially on that last attack. That's really impressive.

    • @infirex7985
      @infirex7985  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, they weren't - I remember lucking out at the bouncing ball part instead where I should've died (I usually bomb and then enter Break mode at that part for safety reasons). You could say that I ran out of luck at Ex-Boss 1 for a bit.

    Any movement tips?

    • @infirex7985
      @infirex7985  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tapping is the most fundamental part of moving in this mode. It may sound stupid, simplistic and not helpful, but it lets you misdirect aimed bullets somewhere else and keeps the part of the screen you're moving to way less cluttered, which should prevent you from getting cornered if done properly.
      Frantically moving around or "flailing" is a big no no because it has the opposite effect on enemy bullets and easily gets you killed.
      While I use it most of the time in my route, 22:26-22:43 is a great example of it. If you try flailing here, it's impossible to survive without bombing or entering the break modes. At that part, I try to move near the tanks because their explosions cancel the bullets, which makes it possible to change the direction and prevent getting myself cornered.

      @@infirex7985 that makes sense, the enemies predict where you are going based on your speed at the moment, not your average speed, so moving half the speed by stopping and starting going at full speed in bursts makes them lead their shots waaayyy too much.
