Glad it helped! Also try creating an instrument track as the 1st track in your session then remove any plugins so it’s basically a blank track. Select the new blank track as you play back and work. This seems to help when the system is really bogged down. Has something to do with the way Logic handles multi-threading.
I have experiencing this issue every now and then, my intuitive thought was my computer is too slow to process the file, and/or the signal is too strong. I’m experiencing this issue today particularly at a place that about 10 tracks all started at the same spot. Before and after are fine, but just that spot, sounds like my interface is disrupted/disconnected. Look for solution but not really helps. And then I found your video! Really save my day.

While I still need to look up what exactly is happening with this feature, it completely solved the issue. I was quite nervous my computer was developing a hardware problem because this is the first time it happened while mixing. I don't know what about the track I was mixing made this problem happen where it didn't prior to this (could be number of tracks/plugins/etc.) but I am very grateful to you for your video!
yoooooo. I was having issues with my bounces. when I played them back they were clipping and stopping. I did this and it fixed them!! thank you so much!!

Im having problems with Logic Pro X, recently one song start crashing when im listening to it, it always happen at the same point, the cpu and hd meters are fine, but when the song is at the particular point it does a pop and the audio stops (in all my Mac), if a play again the song the sound return. The song is finished, I want to bounce it but I can´t!! Help!! Thanks and sorry for my English! Im from Argentina!

Thanks. My song insisted on playing only a short little section. Turns out that one of my tracks had that part selected with the marquee tool. To fix, all I had to do was to click away from it, and the marquee selection went away, allowing me to play the whole song.
My Logic Pro all of sudden switch over to this view/play mode where I can see my original midi stems anymore. How do I exit this screen or go back to the native look?

Hugo Bravo the obvious thing to try is to disable Bluetooth and internet. The other is to create a blank instrument track with no plugins as the 1st track in your session. Play back your session with that blank track selected. Not sure about 9, but in 10 this effects the way Logic spreads out on the processor threads.
One of my audio regions would not play. After time spent investigating I found that I had automated a vol drop to nil for a few bars on the stack bus. DOH!!!
I think I can explain what your going through and what your doing wrong. The multi threading options allows logic to re route the processes to other processors to balance out your CPU usage. Your CPU usage is really high. You have a lot of tracks and you have VSTs running and probably even sum on the master bus. I strongly recommend using a bus on your channel strip to ease the work load of your CPU
Hello I am having midi issues in logic. I record my patterns quantize and everything is fine. Once I move on to build other tracks the original midi track I did play's back out of time like its sounds slowed down but soon as I highlight the track it plays normal. I turned on low latency and the issue still persist any idea on what this could be?
You could have put this on a web page in a single paragraph that I could have read in 5 seconds, and I wouldn't have spent almost 4 minutes sitting here just to find out you were going to tell me something I already tried that didn't work. It's not much but when every single video is 4, 8, 12 minutes, I wind up sitting here spending not getting answers for HOURS instead of minutes. A whole freaking night to review videos, none of which helped, and the sum total of which, all put together, could have been in text I could have found and read in 5 minutes.
Going to have to give this a go, I'm having a similar problem, I've got maybe 8-10 channels, not entirely crammed with plug ins either, and it just stutters and doesnt sync correctly then stops like this! I have quad core cpu and 8 gig of ram....hard drive is barley touching 50gb used aswell out of 500, so there isn't any reason for it to be doing it.....fingers crossed though

There’s few other things you can try , sort of on the obvious side but worth mentioning, like disabling WiFi and Bluetooth and quitting all other apps when you’re working in logic. I’m using a newer more powerful computer now, but often with the larger sessions, those are enough to get over the hurdle. Also try creating a blank audio or Instrument track with no plugins as your first track. Have that track selected during playback. Good luck. 🍀
Hey, after so many vocal takes I always get an error message when pressing record or play stating "The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -48.)" and it does not let me play the song nor record anything. Would you know how to fix this issue? Ive already tried saving it again under Save As and also tried saving project alternatives under file.
I sometimes have the problem of sounds disappearing when im playing back. But if i close down the track without saving and start it back up. It goes away. It has happened to two tracks this week. I think it could be a bug in the system. I hope they bring out another update soon.

Dean Weaver did you update to Catalina? I’m not exactly sure but the majority of audio software devs advised to hold off on the update. There may be a plugin causing issues. I’m staying on Mojave for as long as possible.
Paul Wood we definitely have to do a lot of independent digging nowadays. I never thought I’d say it but I’ve lost a little faith in apple. My 2018 MBP that I paid almost 4 racks for started having issues when it was only one months out of warranty. Long story short, I went ballistic. They had to replace the logic board, battery, memory, SSD and Touch Bar and wanted me to pay for it. After an hour long call to corporate, they decided that they would make an exception and cover the cost. I was happy about the outcome but now I’m almost afraid to even use the thing. A lot of us independent guys rely on our computers. I budget and plan on my computer to last for 4 to 5 years. I doubt this new ultra-delicate sleekly designed unit will make it that long. Sorry for the personal rant. 😑

Dude, I kept getting the error message - Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI.
This video solved that issue.
That fixed my problem I was glitching on playback to the point I have to reload the session!!! Thank you SIR! You get a sub off top!!!

11117777 a I’m not exactly sure, but it sounds like file system disk related issue. Try opening Disk Utility and run First Aid.
