    One of the few people who focus on success rather than quantity in terms of having so many ETFs to see which one will stick and be successful. These people are the real deal, they hold the actual underlying equities and have a methodology that is not stagnant but more flexible in navigating the markets.

    What? Will happen when the index drops 40 to 50%? Will the payout ratio be approximately the same? And how long will it take for the index part two go back up in value? Thank you.

      @@SydblackswanSydblackswan well an index fund probably wouldn’t drop 40-50%, maybe like 15-20% realistically and that’s purely based off a situation like inflation, pandemic, war, etc. With that being said, the dividend pay out would definitely decrease. They etfs mimic their respective etf with not as much downside therefore in a year where it dips 15%, these may only drop 8-9% with maybe a 7-8% payout.

    Feds been saying rates will go down for a while now to keep the markets running hot. Now, they have no choice but, if real numbers show inflation is going back up, they will not cut and boom. So let’s hope rate cuts are coming September. WH been printing money to feed the markets for a while now leading us into this debit bubble. I believe the markets have been running pumped up on synthetic numbers, look around, stores are closing everywhere, stock buybacks, prices are still high in the grocery stores and don’t seem to be getting back to where they were. We are being fed lies.

    Because of the fast growth of covered-call-writing ETFs, wouldn't the increased supply of high-volume sellers reduce the premium available on call options? I would think this should already be reducing yields from selling calls. In a few years this strategy may no longer be profitable as the market becomes saturated with call sellers.

    • @stevenpaul3886
      @stevenpaul3886 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, because as the math changes with growth hence the contrast sold. I seriously doubt the market will not have buyers in the option world.

    I would not dare to say that anything is "stable" right now, especially leveraged funds. What I personally have done is go against advice. I bought FFN when it went down and suspended dividends, which then got me to a positive balance now and a high-yield income. I don't know, honestly, what is stable anymore; real estate, ETFs, index, whatever... it seems now is the time to take high risks like buying Intel when it dropped 25-30% in a day, maybe even REITs that are heated down.

    • @dkyrtata6688
      @dkyrtata6688 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I bought FFN too while distributions were suspended; up now 66% with a yield of over 38%. Likewise I bought DGS; up now over 32% with a yield of 24.7%. I hope to buy more DGS on the next round of suspended distributions. (I need it for the ROC it pays)
      The best time to buy class A split funds is when distributions are suspended. So keep an eye on FFN, DFN and DGS.

    The problem is 92% of the dividend is return of capital meaning you will have to pay taxes on this when you sell.

    • @TonyMontanaDS
      @TonyMontanaDS 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is always one. Yes, It's return of capital...so you basically earn your dividends every month and at the end of the year you sell everything and recoup your initial investment and now you have all your money back and your dividends and...wait, that doesn't match your logic, does it?

    • @snprmilitary
      @snprmilitary 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TonyMontanaDS no thats not how return of capital works. You take all your dividend investments that is return of capital and subtract it from your expense of the stock. when you sell your taxed that amount as it is ordinary income at the time of sale. hope that makes sense? I guess as long as you never sell it....
