A bit after Biboo's 3D debut, Kiara makes a quick note on how much she likes her and Kaela's dynamic. From their opposing attributes (short vs tall, rock vs pick, bouncy vs - usually - calm) to their similarities (grind gamers who are very determined - you can say 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 - above all else), Kiara notices it all.
I also like how Kiara is one of the few EN members to still call her "Bijou." Pretty much only her and Bae still call her that, afaik.

Biboo joining Hololive really seems to have really helped bring Kaela out of her shell. I think the funny little rock girl has been really good for her. Kaela has loosened up and just seems to be having a lot more fun these days.
Kaela did always seem like the ugly ducking of ID before grindstone. Kaela never really was able to find a collab partner that could match her crazy stream schedule before Biboo.
yeah she said that she was looking for a friend with similar stuff like streaming and grinding lots of games and it finally did happen, can't wait for MHWilds streams, grindstone 4 ever!

Kiara is saying out loud what I've been thinking for some time now. I do try to be careful when talking about it, so it's not misconstrued as me personally projecting onto talents, etc. That said, I really think Kiara hit the nail on the head. As a Pemaloe, seeing Kaela find such a good friend in Biboo has brought me a lot of joy, especially after she has lamented at not having many friends who are as interested in games and grinding as he is. I got pretty emotional seeing Biboo's 3d live because of this. It was that moment we all saw coming but delivered in every way. It's heartwarming to hear Kiara talk about it this way too.
Also, Biboo REALLY showed off her full gremlin energy in 3D. It was fantastic. Grindstone forever.
Kaela and Biboo are one of the fated pairs who met through Hololive, just like Flare and iRys, Iofi and Sora and Moona and Pekora.

Never once when I looked at Kaela and Bijou did I see mother and daughter. I saw Anju and Kafei.
I love Grindstone
They matches each other energy perfectly mainly because both can take extreme stream hours. Biboo can Yap freely while Kaela babysitting her. And their personality generally stick with each other.
Kaela needs to be absorbed into Biboo's gem and kept there forever.

I kinda wanna see Grindstone sing "I Got You, Babe." I think it'd really suit them.
While I do agree with Kiara, I think there are also exceptions. As atleast to me, both Laplus and Bae seem to show a lot of personality in their dancing. But from what I understand, they do a lot if not most of their own coreography, so maybe that is the difference.

I mean Lap and Bea are seen as part of the top dancers in hololive for a reason. I think for a lot of the creative stuff, music, art, dance there is kind of a bell curve. early awkward quirks, getting skilled too where it's almost bland but lacking a uniqueness. Finally being good enough to purposefully add a unque flare. Like Calli is pushing to the far end on singing, in her own opinion she doesn't like her old songs for the roughness or the studio blandness. A lot of the gals weren't dancers before joining plus the contractor hired curio teachers will make stuff same-ish.
@@Earliersphere the way I see it, with most performing arts it works like a bell curve. Early on you just do your thing the way you understand it. As you go on and reach an intermediate level you learn and follow an established system. However as you become a master you are expected to break the mold and create your own vision.
You're not wrong, Laplus and Bae are clearly among the top dancers in all of Hololive.

That's an interesting idea. It happens in piano playing. You learn technique and then you learn to play but as you refine the play, it stops being your piece... for a while.
I think you can break out that, though, and make deviations from the written page that convey the authors' intent but also show that you are present for the piece too.
Your Lie in April is kinda a good example. Kaori's playing is necessarily transgressive but it sends a message to the crowd, which is who she is and what she wants.
Its not exactly the same dynamic but they gave me pekomoon vibes with how beautiful the friendship is.
I guess its kinda like classical music vs rock. When playing classical music your supposed to play the piece as it is written down. But with rock or especially jazz its more improv, you put yourself into the music and show off I guess. Dance also has the same dynamic.

As a dancer, you can see many things going on especially when they get good, no matter how you so stick with choreograhpy or not.

Gura’s most popular pairing seems to be AmeSame tho. It’s hard to say who Kiara vibes with the most because she gets along with pretty much everyone. My vote would be for Reine tho. They seemed really close for a while there.

I disagree with Kiara, it is more like a curve, once you hit professional level personality will become more important again, it is what makes you unique.
Man, I've seen many Kiara clips recently, and even if she means stuff in the nicest way, it comes off as negative to me. It's like she has some sort of self entitlement that I haven't seen in other members, fels like she's almost belittling them by comparing herself to them, like on the one she says early 3Ds had more soul and stuff.
Maybe it's the language barrier or something, but idk. Call me dumb, but she gives me bad vibes that I haven't felt with other holomems

bit of her ESL side on word choice and her being of Germanic culture, they don't use soft language and tend to use very direct and blunt speak. It can come off rough but she doesn't mean anything rude. Other members like that part of her, she is kindhearted but will be direct on things.
Honestly, this reeks of 2021-level "Orange woman bad." If you personally don't like her, fine, but there's no reason to spew out this vague anti-bias in the hopes other people will join your hatred. It's been over 3 years since she joined Holo, so much bad stuff has happened in both Hololive and the rest of the vtuber sphere, and Kiara has been involved in basically NONE of it. Just give it a rest already.
And I'm pretty sure she was just reading from chat when she talked about "more soul" in older 3D lives. She pretty clearly favors new 3D live quality and accepted "more soul" as a somewhat self-derivise consolation. But I'm sure you'll find fault with that too, because it's "nEgATive" somehow and anything but bright bubbliness 24/7 from your Holomem is NOT okay.

She’s an absolute sweetheart and is a respected member by everyone in the EN branch plus has been around for almost 4 years now. You probably just don’t like how she phrases things as she’s esl and she’s pretty blunt but that’s just how she talks. Especially weird to say this on a clip where she’s saying how great two members chemistry work so well together which is a nice thing
