That video posted to chinese social media took things too far. It’s not at all obvious that it’s satire and ”a play on racist stereotypes”. Without the context of the swedish show It just comes of as playing into stereotypes and being offensive. However, overall this episode as a whole did show a balanced view of China from a swedish perspective. We ackownledge that China has built some great things. We ackowledge that it’s hypocritical when ”racism” against chinese is still more acceptable than racism against black people. But we still will never back down from calling out the Chinese government on dictatorship and holding political prisoners
