We also have that word in Filipino, we call it "Umay". It's when you become sick of something; tired of something when you've consumed or have had too much of it. That's why we often have citrusy, or vinegar based sides like atsara or , sauces/sawsawan to get rid of that feeling. "Pantanggal umay (To Remove umay)"

I love the story times, I always click like on your video but never comment but I had to today because it was to funny! Love it ❤
When I was 13 I got caught stealing from Claire’s too 😭 my friends and I would go to the mall and steal for fun after school. It started off as one or two things but once we realized we weren’t getting caught, we started stealing more and more at a time (like $100 worth) on that day, we scoured the whole mall already and Claire’s was gonna be our last stop before heading home. I was the first to walk out and when I did, there was a security guard already standing outside and he grabbed my hand that was holding a necklace behind my phone (yes I was that confident lol) he gave my friends the chance to leave me since I was caught first and they ended up staying with me🥺 he brought us to the mall jail and I was the only one put in the cell. They called my mom to get us and thankfully my dad was in Texas at the time so he never found out even until now. I’m just glad I didn’t get any punishment other than being banned from that mall for a year. But im kinda glad it happened cause i definitely learned my lesson and never stealing again hahaha

I enjoyed “story time” very much! It reminds me of myself bc I love to share. I had a similar traumatic experience when I was the same age. The moral of the story is definitely DO NOT STEAL…full stop.

It is interesting to see the differences in cultures surrounding food etiquette. I notice that yall really enjoy your food without shame. You aren’t afraid to take large bites, slurp, have food on your face, eat a lot. I feel like my culture is opposite of all of that. Especially concerning women eating. 😊

Similar story, I talked my best friend into stealing expensive pens from Sears which we later wanted to sell to the kids in HS. He got caught, luckily his Dad knew the police chief and all charges were dropped, but he and his Dad came over to our house and told my parents. After a while I finally admitted my part in the plan and my Dad gave me not only the belt but I got the buckle of the belt also😓

I think every asian kids that grew in the 90’s 2000’s era experienced that kind of discipline. I also experienced that here in the Philippines it’s either flipflops or belt or a long stick or hanger will make your ass sore hahaha. It’s hurtful but i got discipline so good that i would never do it again.

I have gotten my butt beaten until my mom couldn’t lift her arm anymore, she took a break and beat me again until she couldn’t lift her arm anymore. It is traumatizing when it’s too that extreme.

And 1 more thing is that i am an Asian too ( Indian) you father beat you because of stealing but my father beat me because I didn’t informed him before going to my friends house. I can confirm Hispanic parents whoop real good not even with the chancla but with the belt, i was a bad kid, looking back the things I did I deserved my belt whooping. If you have loving parents they’ll discipline you, the whooping suck but I learned my lesson

It's better to use a spoon with the fork to rotate the pasta in the spoon and get a neat pasta bite it's tidier to eat
I've eaten Alfredo with parmesan but not other cheeses
But also I've eaten penne 4 cheese with (blue cheese, parmesan, gruyer & mozarella)
