Excellent explanation mam, I saw your video only yesterday.i am a plant lover., I appreciate your love for the plants.yes your garden is like Amazon forest.wish you all the best.i have nagalinga flowertree in my home., nice to see you in your garden., amazing.
u have a beautiful green patch, absolutely loved watching the video and dont u think leaves tend to grow bigger and broader when they have dappled sunlight with just that right amount of humidity? I live literally in the lap of the western ghats and my backyard almost has its own ecosystem. Ive never seen the myriad colours of balsam sprouting all over ever in a plant nursery to the size of leaves taking on another slightly larger size and a hue of greeen..its got its own magic, seriously. I loved the occassional sound of the chicadee in the background, as you were talking. Thanks!
Shobha its really amazing wonderful greenary you have shown from your garden. I remember the book ಹಸಿರು ಹೊನ್ನು written by BGL Swamy, while seeing various species of foliage plants. Its appreciated that you said the contents of your next video. I am eagerly waiting for it, to know about rain water benefits. Pushpa M k
That selloum plants is really giant and amazing, and maam kindly check the plant you said monstera, it is not a member of monstera family its Raphodofora Tetresperma
Thanks for the plant ID of Raphidophora tetrasperma. When I was a student during the early 1980s I was taught that this plant is the large leaved monstera. Even now I see that some websites call them as philodendron or monstera. Anyway thanks for the info. The genus and species of many plants have changed over the years. Difficult for old timers to keep pace with changes.
My father got it and is there for a long. Now after my you tube videos everyone asks. Now I think I should have checked before it was too late. But my dad is not there to ask him now.

Very beautiful garden mam .....are you from bangalore
I have mentioned in the video that I live in Dharwad.
how old philodendron selum plant ?
As far as I know it is not less than 38 years. All that we have done is water it. The leaf litter is the manure.
how old is anthurium?
Brought home in 1986. So 38 years.
I had been living in Hubli for the last 16 years
Good to know that. You can better understand my garden. You are welcome to visit my garden any time
