I haven’t played the game in a month decided to hop on and the champion was a conduit with 20 thousand kills THIS SEASON. I swear the only people I run into are people where I question if they ever get off the game.
They been bot killing in the Taiwan servers late at night by the sound of it.
I don't even care, i have to fight 'pred' players, i just want players on my team who actually play the game instead of getting into a fight with no loot ->die and then quit or hotdrop->die and complain it's somehow my fold we ended up in that situation.
The "big brother" way of matchmaking is what gets on my nerves a lot more than competing against "pred" players!(most of them with those badges aren't actually that level anyway)
it would be better if they made all guns usable, instead of 1 to 3 weapons actually usable or even OverPowered(usually from the same bullet type), when Apex was in its early years, each class had a similar weapon, only how the bullets behaved (bullet drop) was different.
Now we are actually playing more of a hero focused shooter than it is a weapon-focused game in which you can use superpowers.
Just my 2 cents.
I think they should stop Nerfing guns and just buff all of the other ones.
For real, if they keep nerfing things the game will come to a point where punching does more damage than using guns

Havoc needs a nerf just like the wingman needed one so no I disagree I think all guns are already strong and need balancing actually. Hemlock also is still too strong. ttk with aa is miliseconds.
@puffyips hemlok has the lowest body dps out of all the assault rifles. It's good at mid range when other people miss their shots. That's it..
@@puffyipshavoc does need a nerf. Slightly. But there's a bunch of weapons that are unplayable basically. Light ammo guns are just bad. There isn't a reason to use them over anything energy or even heavy
There must be no SBMM in solos. Every game is stacked with 20 kill 4k sweat lords. I'm nowhere near that level and refuse to play solos because of it.

I like how people are complaining about the havoc yet, it’s been the same gun for at-least 5 seasons. Yall only use it cuz your favorite streamers and content creators are. I’ll die on this hill sbmm ruins games. Variety is a much more enjoyable the problem with it is average players will be thrown into the top .1% of lobbies because you can’t fill those lobbies without insanely long queue times. Casual players are being punished for being above average at the game. If you have decent mmr you’ll be dragging your casual friends into pred lobbies it’s demoralizing and they never want to play the game again.
Players should have a choice. If you want a varied experience, one where you can gauge your growth (by virtue of playing everyone) a non-ranked mode should offer that.
And if you want a tournament like experience (where there is a high chance that your opponent is your doppelgänger) then that should be ranked.
I think this is how all online experiences should be.
SBMM didn't change. Player count is down like 70% this season. Fewer players, fewer pools of people to match up.
The player count is not down by 70% 😂 on steam alone the peak number of players was 227,000 today.

There sure is. It’s like people are oblivious to the existence of pub games, where literally everyone in the lobby is a top 3% player- that doesn’t happen by chance. It happens because an algorithm is choosing to lump them all together to protect the rest of the playerbase.
You have average skilled players with better KD’s and win rates than above average players because the latter are consistently pitted against the highest skilled players.
You seeing a few high skilled players in your lobby is NOT the same thing as the entire lobby being high tier players.
Which is why ranked and pubs fell the fuckin same
SBMM is brutal, I'm a 2 K/D player and was Diamond 3 until I stopped playing ranked back in season 15 and my games would go on like this: stomp on 4 default skins legends who can barely hit 2 bullets in a row (not exaggerating) and then getting stomped on by revengeful (#1 rev in the world).
It's already unfair for me to play against revengeful, but I can understand that they need to put people in his lobby, but how are the 4 people I killed earlier even there ?
It's not sbmm . Apex uses eomm . It's brain rot because it uses a point based system. of each team equals 15 . It retarded. I got 16 000 kills on account 5 diamonds, my enemy has 50 000 + kills on 1 legend all preds
I’m .7 kd and I get killed by 10-30k kill 20 bomb players nearly every game.
Hence why I’ve legit played under 50 games pubs and ranked this season.
It’s unplayable.
I play 1 or 2 games get destroyed and go “F this” and turn it off.
I’m season 0 player who used to be in competitive lobbies now I move and get killed
From what I gather sbmm prioritizes 2 things: fast queue times, “fair” matchmaking.
So in the event where it can’t get enough people of a similar skill bracket it’ll pull from other skill brackets in order to speed up the queue.
So when the #1 rev in the world queues up there’s not nearly enough people in that sparsely populated skill bracket queuing up at the time so they start pulling from literally anywhere.
It’s a dumb system that doesn’t really accomplish anything.
So revengeful should only have masters/ preds in his lobbies? There are not enough high skill players to match in a reasonable time. Ur diamond so imo are fair game to anyone.

I noticed this season trios matchmaking has been pretty good, but the solo mode i had been crying for was ruined as somehow seemingly every player in my lobby was a sweat 20 kill badge. I don't want to have to break my hands to compete! Just want to have fun! Please REMOVE SBMM!
I am literally getting PRED/Masters lobbies with a 1.4 k/d. Like how the hell… I play super casually and somehow I have the sweatiest people in my lobby. It makes it unplayable… I don’t mind SBMM. But is it even turned on? There’s just NO WAY I am as good as the people I go up against.

There is skill based matchmaking and there is proof. Take fuse on solos. Knuckle cluster yourself to death for about 10 to 20 games and the champions will be level 7. (Only works if you go back to lobby and not reque)
XDefient is probably more sweaty than Apex trios though. So not sure how that relates at all anyway.

Last night I died to two different Preds in different solo games. My KDR is around 0.5. SBMM is definitely not in Solos.
I have no problem losing to skilled players once in a while, but losing 25 times in a row to preds, diamonds and cheaters, is not a pleasure. I don't care about winning but I'd like a fair chance at least 3-4 games out of 10. It's not fun being full health and being lazered and killed in under .000002 seconds from some guy that can't even see you

This a ripoff of the current overwatch season.
It's really weird to see AEPX open up to having more than just squads (trios) and duos. Solos was definitely needed for us team players so that we don't have to put up with those TTV sweaty Wraith Horizon players. I am both excited and terrified for Quads because it's already hard enough going against 3. However for those guys who have more than just 1 or 2 friends will be having the time of their lives soon.

SBMM is so new players can feel good and not get stomped on. That way they can spend money on packs.
Sbmm does not exist in apex. After 10 seasons i am uninstalling apex for 3 reasons and at the top is the lack of any kind of sbmm. I have been taking screenshots and video clips of every champ/person who eliminated me over the past 2 weeks to show just how bad whatever bs system that have in place for match making. Then cheaters and constant lies from the dev team are the other two factors. 9/10 seasons of daily play and i finally give up. I have never encouraged people to uninstall or run away from a game in my life but this game is a dumpster fire that never gets fixed they just convince us they polished the dumpster for a few days and then we all remember thats its still on fire yet we still play. I cant anymore. I feel embarrassed to talk about this game and even more so when i think about how much time, effort, and money i have sunk in the past 2.5 years. I cant hold my breath for anything to change. Thank you for all the updates and news the past few years jmeyels. Wish you all the best.

If you do good in a match you will get thrown in those lobbies. That's exactly what sbmm does. They have admitted to sbmm.

In Apex I can't count how many thousands of ways I've improved in 5 years of gameplay. And yet I will forever be locked to the Stats average that I have had for those Five Years. I would like to chalk it up to "everyone else is improving at the same rate as me!"
But that's not true. Sometimes I get brand new team mates and 3 stack pros as my enemies.
Like can anyone at Respawn explain why THAT happens SO OFTEN!?

to add: I think with Solos, Quads etc being tested- and if they come out full-time- I would think the simple solution to Matchmaking is to add Bots like PUBG and Fortnite do. That's a way more simple fix than trying to rework the chalked Algorithms.

And while yes, the whole playerbase has improved, players should “feel” growth and they don’t.
If you were below average in skill and you practiced to improve, you should see improvement in your outcomes (kills, wins, etc). And if you’re average and you improve, you should have above average outcomes.
But aggressive SBMM kills that. “Want to practice/improve to win more? Too bad. We’re going to put you in tournament level games even though you selected the non-ranked mode and there is nothing on the line. Please enjoy having your outcomes stunted so that everyone gets a trophy.”
I started in season 9 as my son hassled me. Pretty terrible at the game obviously but got better (former Quake player). Went from .4 to consistent 1.5 KDR. Last few season can't get above .65 no matter how hard I try.
I feel ya. I'm about the same level of player. I started with a .5 KDR and worked up to a 1.0 KDR lol. The last few seasons I've been back down to a .6 as well. There are for sure a lot of cheaters. I die so fast sometimes that it doesn't even make sense lol

Respawn are full of shit. I had a proper lvl 8 lifeline team-mate. She was a real nopb. She did 22 dmg and I did 1800 and won the game against some sweats. People like her don't stand a chance.
Havoc isn't the problem, it's the fact they have nerfed everything else it's unbearable. Go back to S4/5, everything was fine. Also fix caustic, utterly useless now.
The sbmm needs to be looked at i had an avarage kd since I started playing but ever since they fucked around with sbmm my kd has gone down to almost just 1.0 which is embarrassing its just impossible to get kills cause it just cheaters or pred 3 stacks every game and I confused on what skill this matchmaking is going of cause I just play less and less and rarely getting kills and its still just pred 3 stacks

SBMM is garbage but because how is being paired. I remember a while back devs explained hlw it works and is not a bad system but it needs A LOT lf players to work. And that brings me to first: Overhaul the servers, i mean i don't think US meeds 15 servers. LATAM definitely does not need 5 servers (I have problems finding a game at this point) and sbmm doesn't have enough players to work in a healthy way
And i hope for ranked bring the trials back. I've finding a lot of players who plays like pubs in gold/plat and is frustrating. It was an AMAZING filter and it should be back

There is no sbmm, i did a little test w about 7 of my friends we all queued into solos 3 of them on smurfs w 0.4 kd, me and my other friend 2.3 kd and a 1.6kd for the other guy. Now we didnt go around yk absolutely 1v7ing people we kinda just played a nornal solos game where we were all talking to each other and most of us killed eachother off, but how is there sbmm if that big of a kd difference can be put into the same lobby not once, not twice, but 6 games in a row. 🤷♂️

I didn't think sbmm was a thing. Absolutely no way I, a player who hasn't made it above gold should ever have a pred in my lobby. Most of my deaths are to preds or masters
sbmm is not in ranked annymore only pubs, ranked is based on their current rank, not their previous rank.! so if you meet them in gold they are most likely in plat atm.

Like I sais,because of persons like you and others streamers kill this game....of course Havoc is strong when all guns are water pistols,you said "Havoc is OP" I remember how strong was Havoc before S4,Havoc high dammage,0 recoil and mid to long range,in case you didn't know Havoc was a AR,it's have roots as a long range gun,now is used as a SMG by controller bots with aim assist with hacks...from this perspective it looks strong...same with Devo,S0 devo was deadly,it was game change,I was able to 1 vs 3 back then or Mastif...now everything is "OP" because all the guns are nerfed and and the sheeps with aim assist and hacks use that gun...in this game the solution is 5o nerf not to fix the real problem...just like Bangalore, those losers from ALGS use smoke and digi,now Bangalore is nerfed and digi removed from game.

I think the problem isnt SBMM, it's that there's not enough players for it to be balanced skillwise
So sbmm is the issue then.
SBMM has been weird, I used to have 1.4kd and my kd this season is 0.7, sometimes I get paired with lvl 5 or lvl 20 players to play against 3 stacks, I guess it's because there isn't much people playing it so sbmm can be weird in these scenarios... My advice is play more passive don't be afraid to do mistakes, eventually it will pair you with decent players, might take 20 matches but eventually it will happen ...
Shields work differently and you have white armor longer now. Unless you're really popping off or paying attention to the map and classes in your squad. People with two or more of the same classes in the same squads are now gimping their entire game. 😂
@@johnnopeyy4129 if they are lvl 5 how could they possibly know that having 2 legends of the same category in the squad is bad? Also it doesn't really matter if the whole squad picks the same category since they don't know how to use the abilities, let's say I main Bloodhound and I have a lvl 20 in my squad that picks Seer, I guess I'll have to pick Octane for example, but if I pick Bloodhound he might learn a thing or two from another person who mains a scan legend, on paper it's bad but for educational purposes it might be good, I am not saying that this is what I do but as an Octane main I learned a lot from Path mains. It's also hard to tell how experienced they are when picking the legends since the banners only show after picking legends, but usually if I get to pick first and I pick Bloodhound and they pick Seer or Crypto because they are new players it's fine.

There is no separation at all, and it seems like the better your win rate is the worse your teammates get, I get brand new accounts under level 10 on my team all the time, seriously Atleast 30% of my games yet the lobby is always masters minimum, often running into current preds and pros. I never blame my team cause what are they supposed to do but it makes the game blow ass and none of my friends want to play because of it
