Can't believe I spent decades on Kijiji buying and sell all sorts of amps and pedals to get my sounds and now I just buy a small pedal and all my dream tones are there, crazy.

Ryan Roark I was just reading on the Fractal Forum that the only people who have been able to order one so far were already on the AX 8 waitlist and were switched over to the FM3 list. They were on the waitlist months before the FM3 was even announced.
Chord TheSeeker basically I’ve heard that thanks to Apple and Sony there’s a worldwide MLCC capacitor shortage. The number of capacitors needed in the new iPhone models doubled from previous so it and whatever Sony is cooking up depleted the on hand available supply thus straining fractals ability to build their models as well. So basically strap in and just wait because there’s really nothing that they can do about it until those crucial components become available enough to mass produce the FM3’s. It’s probably going to be at least a six month wait if not longer

There are two versions of the FM3 with only the FM3-0 currently shipping. The FM3-HP which has a headphone jack ($999) and the FM3-0 with no headphone jack ($949). Unless you got on the waiting list back in April 2019, the FM3-HP probably won't be "widely" available to purchase until sometime much much later this year 2020 if not 2021. There are major concerns with manufacturing being shutdown in China due to the Corona virus so regardless of the waiting list that is already months deep, there is a major uncertainty of when those FM3-HPs will make it to the US. The FM3-0 is a limited batch (no one knows for sure , but it has been suggested it was produced in error) and going forward once they have been sold to current wait-listers there will be a void until the FM3-HP starts hitting the US mainland. Unfortunately European customers probably won't see a FM3-HP widely available for purchase until 2021.

Sounds great, as usual. For the average, mostly at home non-pro, is the FM3 the better value option vs. AFx3? It is significantly less $ but I don't want to lose too much. I have a Boss Katana now and I am mostly happy with it and the Boss Tone Studio PC interface. Main questions: Are 3 buttons enough? I know they do a million things but that's the rub- is it convenient enough? I don't want to be navigating menus all day- just play. The Katana has a nice simple 6 button footswitch that lets me quickly access 8 presets. Why can't the FM3 offer something like this? Also, instead of going out to two powered FRFR speakers (which I do not have), can I just go out to 1. Left>>Boss Katana (FX Loop) and 2. Right>> Fishman mini acoustic full range speaker (not FX loop- input but very clean, full range). Can I adjust speaker impedance if needed? Will it sound good?

I'd Love to know how you recorded the outputs, I see no Mics on the FRFRs, so did you use a secondary audio outputs direct or room mics....
