This seems like a really biased comparison. Firstly web3 supports async await. The code comparison was pretty much useless as the implementation is exactly same in both. The output that he printed for DAI, for web3 he console logged result directly. For ethers js he hardcoded the “Reading From: “ and name and stuff. So far only differences are ABI and some syntax. There are pros and cons of both packages and unfortunately they’re not covered in this video

Because this guy sells snake oil. I’m a senior software engineer and wanted to brush up on blockchain for a project I got hired for and found this channel. He only gives surface level info, doesn’t explain anything, nothing about how things work or why they’re done this way not another. If you asked a junior dev to explain their work they’d sound just like this.
@@shi-nee7966 I can’t personally recommend anything blockchain specific apart from official docs for libraries and languages mentioned above. As a general rule of thumb, if the “tutorial” you’re watching is someone just reading the code out loud to you without giving any further insight, you’re wasting your time. I get that copying code you see here is a fast exciting way to get something to work but you’re shooting yourself in the foot by not spending the time to understand it.

This is an absolutely AWFUL video - you are attributing and equating language-level features with frameworks rather than eliminating the variance by coding to the same style. async / await are applicable to web3js too, to not even know a basic, fundamental aspect of the language like that makes me seriously doubt your depth of knowledge
