This is an interesting bird and this video helped me understand Quails better. Quails are seed and herbivore birds, but they can also eat insects, grasses and fruits. They often forage in groups, especially in the morning and afternoon. Quails are generally social birds, living in small flocks. They may make short migrations to find food during winter or inclement weather. Quail breeding usually takes place in spring and summer, when they build ground nests and lay 6 to 15 eggs. Quails are kept for their eggs and meat, especially in countries with rich food cultures. They are also hunted for sport or food.
