Most if not all. Of these attributes. Apply to me. But I don't consider myself to be a Sigma male. I consider myself To be A. Somewhat rational, reasonable, sensible human being. Maybe a little crazy, too. But not in a bad way. I don't mean anyone Any harm I don't feel comfortable being labeled. Categorized Fitting a certain profile. From a psychological point of view. This way of thinking. Will ultimately lead to. Tribalism Group on group biases. Prejudice Segregation separation There are only 2 kinds of people in the world. Good people And bad people. We are all individuals with our own life experiences. We don't all think the same believe the Same things Biology isn't perfect either. Some people are born with defective minds. I feel fortunate.
      Grateful To have been born.
With a somewhat sound mind. Although I have to admit. Being raised in the American culture. Has had some negative effects on my mental health. Overt narcissism And covert narcissism. Describes the majority of personality types in my opinion. So if you want to further.
Divide Polarize Society even more than what it is today. Keep making these videos good job.

Agreed. I've never heard of the Sigma personality type till like a few months ago yet like 90% of these traits I see in myself and have always been like that my whole life. There’s all levels of sigma some may gravitate more towards alpha and some a little beta. But one thing in common has to be doing your “own thing” and not caring about others opinion and validation or seeking approval ! Just living your life basically free 😊

    • @club3g82
      @club3g82 ปีที่แล้ว

This is very true. Sigma is the only one I know of that have different variations but still the same person deep down. Like you said, one may gravitate more towards the alpha trait while others may share a little more beta than most but no sigma gravitates more towards beta, it's just not in a sigma's nature to do that.
How I look at it is, or at least from my perspective and experience, sigma's were once alpha's but got tired of the "hey everybody look at me" being the center of attention crap and decided to stop being around fake people and protect your own inner peace. However, a sigma male could never once be a beta that somehow gained alpha characteristics or you never were a beta to begin with because it's not in their nature either. I don't like being submissive on pretty much anything except maybe bedroom activities I'd like it every now and then if my woman would take the lead or show me her aggressive side because it's a turn on.

That is because knowledge is power. Knowledge is meant to be shared with all, so others may benefit, be a better person and make the lives of those around them better too, which results in this being passed on, and forward. We don't break the chain of love and knowledge. We do this not for reward, but because it is the right thing to do. The best reward is seeing the seeds we plant in others come to fruition.

While I am not Keanu Reeves, nor Daniel Craig, I have 55 years to look back over and can see the signs as they rose for me. I watch from the sidelines, and collect information. I identify with many of the qualities and this video just polishes the rough edges. Always a good reminder that we put our pants on the same way every day, and we are no better than anyone else. And I treat others as I would like to be treated. But I stand alone in my corner relishing my individuality and solitude. I learned the lesson about approval long ago and I got a good dose of humility training as well, when I was much younger. All in All, it all makes sense to me now. Thanks for the video. Happy Christmas to all.

Anyone actively trying to be sigma, can never be sigma. A true sigma doesn't even know there's a label for the type of man he is. I found this video in my feed and found out i am definitely a SIGMA. Sigmas could play the alpha role but would ultimately fail because leadership is case by case. A sigma will lead if necessary, but is uncomfortable being recognized, lauded or adored by strangers.

    2) I don't gatekeep my hobbies, however if someone ask me about them I can endalge in conversation
    3) I express my grievances in order to not allow them to continue and find a solution to the situation.
    4) See point 1, enough said.
    5) Taking risk depends on the situation. You must always calculate it. If it can ruin the whole or deal wait for the opportunity to arrise. But you cant wait forever. In order words act with wisdom, but act.
    6) if you like me ok, if you dont ok too

I have been told I am alpha but believe sigma fits more. Only because all my life I never cared about having friends, social norms, rules or just the opinions of others. Besides my family. I have always done things my own way and it’s worked out no matter what people say. Also I have been told I sit in the back of the classroom and observe. I had a therapist talk about that to a group of people I was in group with. She pointed it out how I always sit in the back and watch. Also I only talk to few people who share my interest. Never new sigma until the last year .

I am pleased to see a "what it is not" video - thanks!
    You asked for thoughts...
I am new to this term: Sigma. I have thought about it a lot recently.
I saw a few videos on common characteristics... They seem to apply to me, so I assume they are designed to be the sort of thing everybody would feel positive about...
Maybe they seem to apply to me because they seem to apply to everybody.
I am not so sure I agree it is "real" or even something we can self-diagnose, but it certainly describes my ideals for myself.
I was encouraged to hear you describe it as something that can be learned.
Sigma seems to be strongly related to Stoicism. I think discipline changes our neural wiring over time - we can probably become the kind of person we seek to become.
And... you helped confirm my biases.

One thing that tips off I may be one is I have a very small facebook friends list. Probably less than 30. I have no desire to have a lot of friends. I know the people I facebook with, and I don't take FB's suggestions to befriend anyone, and I have even deleted some previous friends, because I think they see me incorrectly. Not trying to be rude, but eliminate the misjudgment.

I think serious songwriters are usually sigma males …. Gordon Lightfoot comes to my mind.
I can tell he was totally immersed in his musical writing projects yet his greatest joy was performing his music live.
He was married several times…the women were always fascinated by his mystery musical genius I suppose.
So a sigma tends to enjoy closing themselves in a room and working out a musical composition while sipping a beer..and taking it on stage to experience a great rush of dopamine…they get joy in their art being admired…but it’s not an arrogance of self praise..because they seriously care about their audience’s enjoyment or acceptance of the songs.
I identify with these types of men.

One of the things people misunderstand about describing human archetypes is that they're a guide to understanding that type of person and not a set of rules that need to be adhered to. Many of us appear to be Sigmas and have a good many of the Sigma attributes yet don't fully fit into the definition of a Sigma, it could very well be that few truly do. Remember, in the worlds holy books archetypes where portrayed as Gods or close to God since no one person could perfectly emulate that archetype.

I think you should add this. If you don't mind waiting around for a group to get their act together, e.g., waiting for them to "get ready" to go hiking, on a drive, a picnic, dinner, etc., then you probably aren't a Sigma. One thing I can not stand is when making plans with a group, it takes forever for them to get ready to go. You end up waiting until it's really too late to go. I hate wasting time waiting for people to get their act together. It's why I usually go alone.

I made a mental smoke screen of quick replies to people who tries to get info about me. In my experience, people often use the info for gossiping rather than exchange of ideas. So whats the point of being honest to strangers? One of my quick replies goes like this: A woman ask me, " What do you do for work? ", And I reply " Would you like to see a bank statement? She may say no, why do you ask me that? "Its more easy to see how mutch I make that way". I just know that most women dosent really care about what men do for work. They just want to see what you are making. The bonus of that remark is that you get to see how she reacts under pressure. Some woman use masculine energy during disagreements. I think very little of ANYONE who considers themselves to be an 'alpha male'. As soon as someone claims to be alpha I immediately think "No dude. You're not alpha. You are an insecure little child."
