Game runs and looks great on a 3090 or above. The only thing that’s annoying for me is they’re updating every day and it has the patch through the entire game file every time.

I know a lot of people would heavily disagree but I think they should treat this first month as an actual test-bed and as an unoffical "Ark-poc"season and wipe at the end of the month. Reason being, not only will steam have a massive time advantage over the other platforms when they release, but even some of the steam maps have advantages over eachother (like Khz said, some have been down for multiple days while other only minutes) so just treat it like a beta fixing all the bugs and bring everyone to the same start.
This is the general consensus, yes, and I think it’s a good thing. The amount of patching and fixes they’ve been working on for the last few days really shows that they’re actively trying to get the game in a stable state, which is going to take time. Game development is tough, especially for a live server based MMO like ark
this would have been fine if they said it before people put so much time into the servers

I had a i5 6600k that i overclocked to 4.4 gh and I could not even join a server so I bought a i5 146000kf 32gb og ram and still use my 1080 and now i have like 20 fps
The settings that you use almost made me think that you played Ark Survival Evolved instead of Ark Ascended lol

It’s so sad to see what this game has come out as, it could’ve been great but snail games and nitrado has stopped studio wildcard from making the game we all wanted and would’ve loved
And the worst part is that the devs will get blamed for the shit Nitrado and Snail Game are doing.

@@Matrix710x They are the sole server host for the game, including Official servers, and they have had 15+ hour downtimes on a lot of the official servers

As someone who has 400 days on ark, I refunded ASA simply because of its poor optimization.
I just got a thought on why they got rid of movement speed. It's because the game couldn't handle rendering everything if ppl have 150 movement speed
I think this was confirmed by a dev on discord. I remember on ASE the ridiculous amount of speed people could have absolutely messed with performance due to rendering issues
@Fulldrag-hv5xr that's actually crazy if true. I could see how that could be a problem but I loved that about ASE. Only problem once griffins and wyverns are being used ppl are going to be moving just as fast if not faster. And maewings now that I think of it

the game is not even close to beeing playable. in the old ark you could actually move a lot more precise. ASA feels like shit its clunky as hell controls feel spongy af and graphics are terrible if you want 60+ fps without a nasa pc. you will get a headache from the graphics after a short time. DO NOT BUY THE GAME !
