For real, that Zero book is a godsend for folks who don't drink. So many fun creations that go way beyond just combining fruit juices. Thanks for another NA video and cheers to a prosperous 2021!
Nice - I saw that Americano recipe on the sample pages for Zero and wanted to give it a try. Bruto Americano is one of my favorite aperitifs, so a mock version of it had me curious! Will definitely give it a try!!
I had no idea there we so many haters in the comments smh. When I was pregnant, I would have loved to have more non alcoholic choices. Sometimes you don’t feel like plain orange juice or coke.
I love to make Mocktails for parties, so that the DD / Spouse / Non-drinkers can enjoy something interesting too! Plus, when done well, even the drinkers will partake and generally get just that much less drunk
Very nice. I’ve only done the first one so far. I did just like your recipe, but it was a wee bit sweet. Then I did 3/4 lemon and 3/4 orgeat with 2 dashes of angostura (yes, I know that has alcohol), and it turned out perfect for me. Thanks!!
I love mocktails. I don't have like a moral or religious thing against alcohol- I just think it makes perfectly good drinks taste like you put a drop of hand sanitizer in them.
Lots of people aren't big drinkers and nowadays there are so many great ways to make craft mocktails. I've done a few that people love because they're driving, on medication, or simply just don't feel like having booze.
I've got an interesting cocktail recipe from Hitman 2 which was made as a joke for the TH-cam channel OutsideXbox. The drink is called "The Dragon Flame" and was made to mess with Andy Farrant
What is the English equivalent of lasagna? Or taco? Once a word is adopted into a language, it no longer follows pronunciation rules of the language it originated from.
@@vetleallum2965 Admittedly I tend to do the same thing lol. I don't like carbonated drinks, so when I'm grabbing something nonalcoholic it's usually either orange juice or tea. You're in good company! :)
Great videos!! It's always really cool to see them, kinda relaxing on my breaks. Could you make grog in a future video? When I found out what it was I thought that orcs have a better taste than what I though
Hmmm... idk how i feel about this.. i love the video, but I usually spend National hungover day drinking beers... maybe next year making cocktails with beers...?
It would be interesting to see some comparison about the alcohol free gin/rum etc replacements. Are they worth their price for someone who would enjoy cocktails but cannot drink alcohol.
I've never found a really good one, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. When making mocktail versions of some of my cocktails, I just try to play up the other flavors to make them stand out so much you don't think the unique flavor of the booze would make it better.
What with the "Chemistry" and all, technically I don't think anything can float to the bottom. I believe that might be called sinking. Lol thanks Nick and pleasure as always
@cocktailchemestry helooo I love your videos they are awesome hey I have a question I have that zero book I what to do de wines but I can't find the verjuse how could I substitute them
TH-cam I need your help. In Germany those drinks without alcohol are often called 'Virgins' or 'Virgin Drinks'. Is this common in any English speaking country? I can't find good information on that on the internet because the web search just floods me with ads...
A rusty nail is scotch and drambuie liqueur. Could you do x6 2 ingredient cocktails but change spirits and liqueur? Scotch, Bourbon, Rye, Rum,Tequila, gin.
To the extent I've seen it lab tested as true of whole eggs in egg nog, it takes 24 hours to kill all the harmful bacteria, which is usually longer than most people prepare it in advance. You can also pasteurize egg whites if you're concerned. Or use Versawhip.
Hmm, looks like the alcohol % is about 6.4% which is definitely on the low side. My understanding is that glycerine is used as a fixative to stabilize bitters with a low ABV like this.
The problem with alcohol (aside from being harmful for people on controlled medication, pregnant people and people suffering with alcoholism) is the bitterness. Alcohol does not taste good. So it really bothers me when people make bitter drinks to mimick alcohol.
I'll be honest, I'm not sure if drinking that much sugar is any healthier than cutting back on the booze. Cool looking drinks, but I'm going to go put together an insulin spritzer to wash them down with.

I have got mixed feelings... The first drink is a typical 20th century drink. Boring - fruit on fruit on syrup (and Ceres is not even a "real passion fruit juice" but it is a mixture of different juices which are flavored with passion fruit concentrate! Second drink - a bit better. It isn't really a Shirley Temple but it is a bit more advanced. I would not blend the ginger and cook it then with agave - as it will lead t a strange hybrid of ginger beer syrup and ginger ale syrup. Pepper is cool, as it brings some unique heat, which mocktails need. The third one - is almost there. I would never use as much fruit juice. Fruit juice makes everything odd. Overall - I think mocktails should be made with authentic ingredients. Why using Ceres passion fruit and not buying fresh passion fruits? I believe it is absolutely wrong to see mocktails as "cheaper options" for cocktails.
