There is software that utilizes AI to interpolate frames between frames. You can take a stop motion clip done at 15 or 30 frames a second and up it to 60 for more or less free.
This is what adult swim should be. High effort, small studio, creative and innovative projects given a larger platform and budget.

You need to take a listen to Lamp Lit Prose (2018) and Dirty Projectors (2017). You'll be amazed.

This is CG made to look like stop motion though. They've purposefully done 2-4 frame staggered poses at times to accomplish this. Works really well.
