More narrative stuff, it is interesting and more engaging then a straight battle. This is the way to grow the youtube channel. Editing out the movement phase will speed up the videos and make them more engaging as well.
Watched this with an eye to the dice video. Like how the dice do not lead to all or nothing damage nor instant kill on lighter mechs. Looking forward to further narrative battle reports.
@Thearmedpainter Still, it's a great start! I prefer story driven campaigns (probably the long time TTRPG GM in me), as it adds infinite complexity to the system as far as each new scenario goes. Had a campaign set out originally when I used to play SW Armada with each faction fielding groups of units and as battles were decided, each side attrited. Makes your units feel more valuable when each unit is more than just a piece in a battle and actually losing personnel has a detriment to overall play 😀
@@verysilentmouse I think someone may have said it was from MechCommander 2 when I was talking to them. Would explain why it sounded familiar if that’s the case 😂 I played so much of that
Just saying, if you ever want to do another narrative campaign, some handsome and talented person had a full campaign published in issue 14 of Shrapnel, with rules for playing the scenarios in both BattleTech and Alpha Strike...
Love to see Carver V used; it was the setting planet for the (excellent, if now very dated) Mechcommander 2.
Campaign play is one of my favorite aspects of Battletech!
I appreciate you fast forwarding during the movement phase and playing some background music. Gets us to the action faster!
Again already? You're on fire!
I’m always envious of your terrain setups. It looks so awesome!
I sold a lot of my minis from the first KS and used it to get GF9 terrain for the channel :) it’s great stuff.
@@Thearmedpainter I’m trying to save up for a pla 3d printer so I can start printing my own terrain. Might get one during Christmas
Nice video. I think adding a section in the beginning for a zoom in on the individual units to show off the fine details would be a great addition!

Narrative stuff is fun!
My Barnes and nobles have been getting in a lot of battlestrike lately. I should pick up a box since it looks fun!

Comstar recon, oh we have a king crab...😂
I like the campaign mode, would love to continue to see how this develops :)
I’d like to make it better in the future but gotta start somewhere ;)

Carver V was the location of Mechcommander 2. In the end of it they renamed the system Liberty, I dont know if that was canonized though.
You have the best job...
@@rankovich09 I have a cool job lol not sure about best. I’m trying to grow YT so I can focus on the hobby and minis content, we’ll see how it goes :)
Nicely done! Agree about giving a closer detailed look at the forces involved would be nice.
Nice start to a potentially great project on the channel.
awww look at that beta timber wolf!
Battletech without plot is just throwing dice! Any and all narrative is appreciated.
So the rule about battle armor, including Clan elementals, is they are removed from the game if they enter the water.
Carver V is from either the mw3 or mw4 computer game during fed com civil war it's in lyran space below the truce line

Comment for Algorithm Appeasement, will watch later. Happy memories of Carver 5 from MC2 tho 😊
Carver 5 would be a very far forward base for Clan Wolf. Pretty sure they overshot Terra far forward iirc 😂
Love the map
wish i hade more people to play. I have to pay my kids to play with me on this game :(
When yall getting some AC in the shop?
