      Brooks kept trying to get the case thrown out. Too much information could’ve caused him a foothold, they were very careful to select how they would put it forward so it would be open and shut. In the same way everyone’s patience and self-control with Mr. Brooks, is the reason why justice was allowed to be served. He was an evil man looking to grasp at any straw to try to get away with mass murder. The way he treated the court and even bullied victims was so repulsive, yet everyone kept their cool, refused to be baited, and justice truly was able to be served.

    • @Mediocritical
      @Mediocritical 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The right to represent yourself is just as important as the right to council. As for his behavior, he was trying to manipulate the situation and stall, and the judge would appropriately strike his comments and instruct the jury to disregard, as well as using prior case law in making the determination that he forfeited his right to testify on his behalf. The DA team adjusted strategies very well and let him have enough rope to hang himself. This is case that will be talked about in law school for decades and used as a prime example of even though you have the RIGHT to defend yourself, you really are better off with a trained and knowledgeable attorney.

    Congratulations on concluding this trial. The Judge and Prosecution did an amazing job navigating a case involving such horrific circumstances. All the way through this man showed not an ounce of respect, compassion, or regret for taking the lives of 6 and injuring dozens of innocent people. He also assaulted the Mother of his 15 year old daughter. Anyone offering justification for this man’s actions has completely lost their minds and has no regard for human life. My sympathy and condolences to all the victims and families impacted by this tragic event. Much love and many blessings from Connecticut.
