This railway line and then this winter landscape are very interesting. I always find this train ride through the city interesting. Thanks for sharing and have a nice Sunday.
I’m getting “Groundhog Day” vibes here. I mean he makes a snowman maybe toward the end of the movie in a town not much different from this‼️I went to Utica and surrounding area with family when I was little. I look forward to going again.
Spring snowstorms? Eclipses? Earthquakes? Ah yes, unusual East Coast happenings. But, watching a train video, and listening to the clickety-clack, and hearing that lonesome whistle blow during a gentle snowfall, all those little things puts my mind at ease. Everything else evaporates. Great video! Thsnk you.
A nice view even with the snow looking on the straightaway with very little moderninity in view. Looks like phosphates headed out phosphate empties coming back it's the anniversary of Milwaukee's 1990 late snow storm that put 25,000 people in the cold and dark due to heavy wet snow snapping mini a branch. It was 3 to 8 in depending upon where you were and only took 2 days to melt. I remember getting up for work and wondering why my neighbor had white shingles
Lots of great comments here. Love the opening seen. The old house so close to the tracts and the stone wall pretty much dates the track bed to the mid 1800s.
AEX reporting marks are for The Andersons which is a Grain Company with HQ in Maumee OH. For quite a number of years they have also had a railroad freight car leasing department specializing in covered hoppers most of which are used but some have been reconditioned. They also have boxcars BAEX. Tank cars pretty much for ethanol TAEX plus a nominal number of gondolas and hoppers. Odds are high a car out here is loaded with phosphate or potash

Hi from York, UK! No snow here this winter (yet). Thanks for another great video!
Glad you enjoyed watching, thanks for commenting!
From Ohio to you, happy spring!
Thanks, snow’s gone now, thinking about what I’ll plant in this year’s garden.
Absolutely beautiful video, enjoyed it thank you. 😊
Fantastic video during a snowfall. Enjoyed watching and have a great upcoming weekend.(Steve)
Nice catch of the train going through. So love hearing the whistles.
I lived in Utica for many years! love to see the train action!
I’m a Utica girl. This brings me many happy memories of life in the Mohawk Valley!
Got to see the 3040 on Tuesday by New Hartford shopping center. It’s even more beautiful seeing it in person.
Easy winter in central Maine too. Just 76 inches snow so far. 33 inches since spring began.
Great video ! Thanks again. Winter is early this year. It doesn't usually start until October.
Awesome video!! You are amazing by always capturing the train at just the right times.
Looking in from North Yorkshire, England. Quite a snow storm!
Another AWESOME video. Thank you railroad Rambler. You stay warm & Witold too.
That snow looks like you could make a good snowman with it.

Nice video. Noticed the CSX and Susquehanna engines switched order at the last of the clip.
Still no snow in the middle of England! Thank you for making and sharing this video🙃
Beautifil. I love how this railroad is so in the open.
Another great video from Okeechobee Florida. Keep warm up there.
Excellent video in the snow. I liked the opening shot. As usual, ole man winter never seems to want to leave.
Hey rail rambler lucky. You got snow. I wish we had snow in Earlville . Glad to see UT 1 working the Sangerfeild run .
I do enjoy your videos. It would be nice to see you capture the end of the line in Sangerfield a bit more… much appreciated.
Always good to see 3040 getting the job done.
It looks like the fertilizer business is doing well this year, too.
Winter refuses to leave (ugh), anyhow, greetings from Tonawanda, where it’s winter 🥶 never mind about spring. It’s not here yet…
80 here in Oklahoma everything is green now.

The line was built in 1867. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for commenting!
No doubt Witold, like the sensible chap he is, stayed at home in front of the fire.
Well, he was relaxing in the car when I videoed the Schuyler Street segments.
Hmmmm, snow in New York State?🤔thats kind of normal, right? Hawaii gets snow in the summer, on the high mountain peaks, seriously!
I my grandparents live in New York I live in California
Looks like a kid ran out to touch the railcar at the end.
He did and right behind him was an younger kid running around
A bit concerning that a sub 4" snow is one of the biggest of a Utica winter...
Rip shoestring! 🙏
Indeed, I enjoyed his videos
I just hate it! I am really gna miss his videos ! It's just like stobe the hobo when he died! I miss these guys like they were brothers
Please remember a great man "shoestring"...
A big loss, I enjoyed his videos
What the hell did that kid run up to the train in last second of the video?
Fortunately he didn't try jumping on it (I've seen a few kids do so over the years).
Hello from Sunny North Carolina, thank so much for the video, I’m going to Tweetsie Railroad season opening tomorrow. I will be thinking of you
What railroad is AEX?
