why did you decide to use pyaudio instead of pyo?

Honestly, I've never heard of pyo before. I've chosen pyaudio because it's a low level library and you have full control over your code (mostly). No magic.

You have some problems with synth terminology there. For example you should maybe call filter section FX section, because filter in synth World is is a little different thing. Anyway you have a great project there. You Must have awesome coding skils. My dream myself is to write My own synhthesizer. If you want I can maybe give you pointers and ideas with the synth stuff. With code, I can't advice you, since I'm a Total beginner Myself.

Thanks! :) If you want to program your own synthesizer, just start with it. That's the biggest challenge. And continue with small reachable steps just to keep motivated ;)
