I always thought his "God Part III" was in response to U2's "God Part II". Given the date here it would appear U2 was inspired by Larry, not the other way around.
@@peruseperusing5027 Not quite. U2 were inspired by Larry but Larry couldn't call his God Part 2, he had to call it God Part 3 because U2 had already released God part 2. That's what Larry said, anyways.
Really hard to believe that Larry wrote this before hearing U2's God Part II. If he really did write it before Bono did, then Bono stole it from him. But c'mon given what we know about Larry is there any good reason to believe that he recorded this in 1971?

Who wrote this song? Wiki says Bono and the Edge in the 80's but Larry Norman's demo is dated 1971. I'm confused......again
