I just wish that Anker would bring out a more durable version of the Soundcore Q30.. The sound of the Q30 (after the EQ tweaks suggested by Oluv) is absolutely great! Unfortunately the same can not be said about the build quality, which is horrible. I have two Q30's and both started falling apart (plastic cracks) within two years, with no more than average use.
Hello OG, I have followed you for maybe 4 years now and I deeply appreciate your ear and advanced notice of sound. In the last 2 years I have been going through chemotherapy and I was never warned that my hearing may be affected. Well, it was. Now I have lost about a third of my hearing in the mid to high register along with ringing in my ears that never goes away. I am looking for earbuds that will fulfill my desire for good microphones for the sound loss as well as offer a good listening experience. Unfortunately, hearing aids are very expensive here in the states and my income is now fixed so I cannot afford a lot. Can you please help? Thank you for any consideration.
There are "cheap" hearing aids as well, I was once contacted by a chinese manufacturer to review them, but they never sent any. Also not sure how well these would work for listening to music. Other solution would be to perform some hearing test and use the correction as profile for some Airpods Pro or Airpods Max, or other headphones, or you can custom tune some inear according to your hearing ability and preferences, there are not many inears that offer fully customizable sound, the Free Pro 2 gives you access to a fully parametric 10-band EQ, other one would be the Nothing Ear 2 also has some advanced equalising capability, but I have never tried them. I could custom tune a Free Pro 2 for you based on my own "neutral" sound profile but I would need to know where exactly you got some hearing loss, which is probably not that easy to accomplish remotely.
@@oluvsgadgets Hello and good day OG. Thank you for responding! I am glad to hear your suggestions. You mentioned the Ear Pro 2 which is good price wise for me. Your neutral sound equalization is one of the meaning things that I was seeking as well as an earbud with adequate noise canceling microphones which at the proper setting, amplify ambient sounds. I am not experienced with the Nothing brand, are they another good choice?
In this day and age, and especially with products such as this, that are tuned with DSP, it does not make any sense to me why companies do not stay close to Harman 2018. By close I mean a slightly warmer (low mids) Harman... then they could have like an audiophile preset which takes out the bass shelf from Harman and then a basshead preset that amplifies, and then for an even more V shape, they could have a warmer Harman InEar 2019 tuning etc etc...Even if one is not a fan of Harman, they could still adjust the sound a bit with custom eq controls to match their taste as much as they can..... Instead, they do this
There is dishonesty for sure, but I do think that most reviewers don't know the difference. Just like most people, they aren't that sophisticated about sound. You have a very narrow preference, where most people aren't that critical about sound.
@@DominikReviews So what? Just because they are paid doesn't mean they are knowledgeable or sophisticated about sound. They don't know any difference so they can still believe the nonsense they say.
I don't really mind boosted bass, but for me it seems that the treble of the Space One with the default EQ is way too much. Even at lower volumes it's still fatiguing.
@@d.g.o4410 Yeah, I already thought the Q45 was a little too much on the bass (probably way too much for some) and harsh treble that could only really be "fixed" when using the wavelet app to get more control of it. Ended up giving them away.
@@Benzo97 yeah, crazy to see nowadays that many headphones that are garbage are always being hyped for no reasonable reason other than to just buy it because people say is the best. it’s nonsense at this point.
If you suspect a compression issue on iOS, did you test the headphones with an android phone or via AUX cable? Otherwise your review is not much better than the ones you complain about.
@@oluvsgadgets Maybe, but the headphones support LDAC which iOS doesn't support. So on an Android that does support it you might not have this problem.
How does mentioning an AAC BT specific issue to potential iOS using buyers make Oluv’s review no better than the ones which Anker has bought & paid for? You saw the frequency response graphic, presumably, which you know isn’t as a result of being generated via BT on an iOS device? Poor tuning is poor tuning, regardless of the software your phone uses.
I find it hard to believe that the space ones sound this bad.. I hope you can test it on an android device, bc I know way to many ppl who enjoy these pair of headphones for it to sound this bad I hope its just an ios issue especially when these would sound the best with LDAC enabled
I mean a lot of the most popular headphones that are well liked did not appeal well to people that are selective about sound signature or music. So I'm not surprised people are generally happy anecdotally speaking. Generally speaking as long as the stuff is loud enough and works right people are going to be pretty happy with their purchase. These speakers are not made for a really selective audiophiles. It's generally more about lifestyle and convenience, affordability.
Hey i am from India i just have only one request - can u play. This song on Tribit Blast Speaker song name “ Daku by Inderpal moga “ thank you love your videos❣️ please its a request help me to enhance my buying decision
I believed all the „praise“. I found it unbelievably shitty sounding. I also experienced this ringing sound in the highs which makes it sound unlistenable. The stock settings were the worst I‘ve ever heard. Problem is, all these TH-camrs think something like the Sony WH1000 whatever headphones are high end. None of these guys have ever listened to a PROPER headphone like the Sennheiser HD600. So any recommendations are just not valid. Still, they get a ton of cash from Anker. Sad, but true.
It’s meant for those who already own those models and simply want something which sounds correct without the need of buying another headphone hoping that one would finally be the holy grail.
Servus, vielleicht solltest du dir auch mal nen Androiden besorgen (+ USB Audio Player Pro wenn es um kabelgebundene Lossless IEMs geht + Wavelet free version)

@@BoronAlloy I’m actually speaking not about the headphones in this case, but about the music itself that people listen. When you listen to some quality material that resonates with your soul, it would inevitably lead to the urge to improve your experience. That’s how the stuffs intertwine. Hence the inevitable indifference about the means of playback. You just need an ear bleeding bass in your boombox and there you go. That’s your freaking experience.
Worse than the Q30? Ouch I already found these quite bad and hollow sounding - tried many EQ settings as well, although better than the absolutely awful Bose QC45. No comparison to Sony XM5 using a custom EQ.

I know the two of you don't get along very well but you and Alan Ross seem to be the only two people not being paid off by soundcore. Soundcore is capable of making good cost-effective products too but the marketing is just getting absurd
Nobody would buy this except for ANC. There are plenty HiFi headphones which sounds far better. Of course wired. Sennheiser HD250 linear sounds thousand times better. But today i never would buy a headphone without ANC. We are living in a time with so much sickening noise in the city and workplace, disturbing neightbors and so on. And in Europe the poeple are living in apartments, mostly in cities, today. Soundcore Q45 sounds better and is more customizable and is also more comfortable to wear for hours. Not nearly at the same ANC level as Sony XM3-5, but with good NC and more comfortable. Soundcore has gone away from the boomy models in the past to a more linear, ancient sound. Especially the Q45 has not more the typical V-form frequency curve.

Omg just hearing the backgound vocal on my speaker phone, i just realized something is off 😅
Hello OG, I have followed you for maybe 4 years now and I deeply appreciate your ear and advanced notice of sound.
Can you please COMPARE the Q30 vs Q45? thanks
Please make review for ear fun noise cancelling headphones latest
In this day and age, and especially with products such as this, that are tuned with DSP, it does not make any sense to me why companies do not stay close to Harman 2018. By close I mean a slightly warmer (low mids) Harman... then they could have like an audiophile preset which takes out the bass shelf from Harman and then a basshead preset that amplifies, and then for an even more V shape, they could have a warmer Harman InEar 2019 tuning etc etc...Even if one is not a fan of Harman, they could still adjust the sound a bit with custom eq controls to match their taste as much as they can..... Instead, they do this
They do mass appeal products. The 0.01% of enthusiasts that really Care need to Take Care of themselves
@@cuerex8580 why do mass appeal products have to sound bad? ._.
There is dishonesty for sure, but I do think that most reviewers don't know the difference. Just like most people, they aren't that sophisticated about sound. You have a very narrow preference, where most people aren't that critical about sound.
Earraping bass that destroys your hearing indeed has something to do with preferences 😂
no, they are just paid, you can see it in description
@@DominikReviews So what? Just because they are paid doesn't mean they are knowledgeable or sophisticated about sound. They don't know any difference so they can still believe the nonsense they say.
I don't really mind boosted bass, but for me it seems that the treble of the Space One with the default EQ is way too much. Even at lower volumes it's still fatiguing.
I like v-shaped sound signatures, but THIS is WAYYYY too V-Shaped. Too much bass and too much treble.
You should try reviewing Moondrop Quarks DSP
why? It’s horrible
@@oluvsgadgets why do you think it's horrible? It's better than mh1c and i've been using mh1c for years.
how about Beyerdynamic DT770 ?
What are your thoughts on the Soundcore Q35?
i just saw the last part of the video lol
I wish it was illegal to pay people to "review" products. Absolutely insane...
people would still do this, all for money!
I laughed so hard at the title
Still using a pair of q30s that i bought 2nd hand for peanuts.
They're fine
q30 is awesome, but the build quality is quite bad.

Yeah I've got a crack in the left side just about the ear cup
Thanks for the honest review
If you suspect a compression issue on iOS, did you test the headphones with an android phone or via AUX cable? Otherwise your review is not much better than the ones you complain about.
It’s not a problem with iOS but with the Bluetooth chip inside the headphone not decoding AAC properly.
@@oluvsgadgets Maybe, but the headphones support LDAC which iOS doesn't support. So on an Android that does support it you might not have this problem.
@@TheFreezeChillthe horrible sound still remains
@@oluvsgadgets Ok thanks for the info :)

I'd skip the 660s and 660 S2 since they are more expensive and harder to tune than 600 and 650 and the end result will not be any better.
I hope you will do ANC reviews too. All the reviews I see on TH-cam are shills.
Oluv you just have to accept that you are niche, only audiophiles / musicians appreciate good flat sounding stuff. Most people don't care.
Unfortunately , this will never be a succesful youtube channel. But I really hope you can get a good contract with some nice brand and get what you deserve. Then you can have fun with this youtube thing.. Take care!
Success Lies in the eye of the beholder. He succeeded in expressing himself. Only Future generations can truly appreciate this degree of passion in this niche. WE are Just First to wittness
@@cuerex8580really shows how many people actually care about music in general and not just put random shit in their ears for the sake of putting random shit in their ears, does it?
@@Sluchayniy That's a whole another topic ,a can of worms that is so big my ears hurt..
@@Sluchayniy
It’s not so much as care, but understand or know any better/different… or even trust what they can hear themselves.
As Oluv points out, the ear/brain has a wonderful way of making poor-average audio transducers, sound ‘normal’ (sufficiently acceptable).
@@BoronAlloy I’m actually speaking not about the headphones in this case, but about the music itself that people listen. When you listen to some quality material that resonates with your soul, it would inevitably lead to the urge to improve your experience. That’s how the stuffs intertwine. And how can an exemplary mumble rap possibly resonate with a soul? No way. And especially nowadays ridiculously poor taste is the unfortunately frequent phenomenon. Hence the inevitable indifference about the means of playback. You just need an ear bleeding bass in your boombox and there you go. That’s your freaking experience.
Seems as if they are going after the beats headphone consumer.
A weird frequency response can ruin the entire imaging. A normal imaging is how u hear sound out of your ear in real life.
This soundcore or sony xm5 ?
sony
What did you want from the ears of young people with rap or pop?😂
they like now american rap like some kanye
Another example of a company caring more for features than sound quality.
Worse than the Q30?
Ouch
I already found these quite bad and hollow sounding - tried many EQ settings as well, although better than the absolutely awful Bose QC45. No comparison to Sony XM5 using a custom EQ.
Interesting, I get these AAC compression artifacts on my XM5 as well sometimes. Need to reboot my Macbook then.
thats because you did not try Oluvs EQ setting for Q30 :)
@@Igor-vf9lhhe tried but he didnt like it, new models of Q30 have different sound than old oluv version
i listened to xm5 in store and they are muddy af, with eq is better but nothing good at all

honestly the old q30 sound better
this headphone reminds me of beats over rated shit , soundcore/anker is dyeing as a brand which is very sad to see
I know the two of you don't get along very well but you and Alan Ross seem to be the only two people not being paid off by soundcore. Soundcore is capable of making good cost-effective products too but the marketing is just getting absurd
I have q30 and q45. Q30 is way better sounding headphone
Especially the Q45 has not more the typical V-form frequency curve.
watching a review about the Space Ones wich accordingly to the video are bullshit and a total disaster, while using them...
Whatever the opinion of others, they are good (for me),EQ ed them enogh to be very satisfied with what its coming out of them
