I think it makes sense how there isn’t much of cerobas motif in trial by fury. After all, she just lost the only person in her life left that truly mattered to her right in front of her, she probably lost herself in that moment too.

The darker rendition of Ceroba's motif in Nothing But The Truth always gets me, it truly feels like your perception of this character has completely changed in a matter of minutes, and you just have to accept it and move on

@@trouvial what do you mean? This fight was really easy, especially after 1st phase when they give free heal. Axis fight was a lot harder. So hard that I had to turn easy mod on.
@@ilialolxaxaxa9665 first phase kind kicked my ass, but eventually got the hang of it and beat the last phase first try
i did struggle on axis aswell, i cant remember if it was harder for me or not
That transition between trial by fury and mothers love is crazy
I called it Ketsukane motif, because it was everywhere they appeared
that’s what the wiki calls it too (where I got the motif information), but I felt it’d be easier to call it Ceroba’s motif

She has 3 Boss Themes, one of them in 3 sections and one gets sped up half way

I noticed the song for the wild East also contains moteifs from ‘a mother’s love’ but it was a different part of the song which had different motifs

I just used the wiki in the Lietmotifs section, but like 5 of them listed I couldn't hear the motifs anywhere... but they're probably there. I'd trust them more, I just wanted to make this as a representation
@@trouvial huh, strange, because when I was listening to the song for the wild East, the main motif sounded very similar to the later half of phase 1 from “a mother’s love”

Omega flowey (yellow soul)
Justice
Showdown
And in the later stages
Undertale/SAVE the world

I really like Ceroba's theme song, she's a great character along with Clover.
Her battle theme "A Mother's Love" is one of my favorite soundtracks.
Her character and battle are incredibly tragic and sad.
The final choice at the end of the battle with her is to kill or spare her.
I chose to spare her because she does not deserve to die, everyone has their own sins.
I hope she continues to live a happy life with Starlo.
I like her!
The way that the motif is in Medium is so subtle, definitely my favourite.
i went blind in my first playthrough and NEVER knew ceroba was a big character since i went directly to the flowey fight after going where martlet told me to

@@PeterBoyMC no it's not it can be accessed in any runs except genocide by going to the balcony and talking to martlet you obviously haven't played the game

6:49 Bonus points for having the game over theme in there. Although I'm starting to think that this is Starlo's theme since he's the only monster who has the game over motif in his fight theme.
(Oh and also for some reason in one of her songs I don't remember which one, she has Martlet's motif in it, so I'm pretty sure Starlo and Martlet's motifs are in the song because they were nearby during the fight.)
That actually the justice motif. It plays during every time anything western related or justice related happens. It is in many like medium, the trek, honest days work (reversed) and many more. The mothers love theme also contains the justice theme as well as martlet( protocol) and starlo ( showdown). In this video of you listen closely you can hear
Damn, Undertale Yellow is so faithful to Undertale that they did the same reuse of motifs in other musics

WOW I WASNT EXPECTINTING ceroba's THEME TO HAVE HER MOTIF
I have an interpretation of why Trial by Fury has one leitmotif while A Mother's Love has it almost all the way to the middle of the song. TBF only played at genocide where we are barely able to know her character, that one leitmotif symbolizes that as a how little we know her in her song. In AML we knew everything about Ceroba, she is the last boss afterall, and so the song symbolize it as such by scattering her leitmotif everywhere

i'd honestly been thinking of this melody as chujin's theme, but it does fit way more as ceroba's
I saw someone just call it the ketsukane theme, which fits pretty well too
I love how it's not just motifs of "A mother's love" that exist throughout all tge tracks but some also have motifs from "some point of no return."

There's actually a bit of this motif at the very end of A Mother's Love that you missed, but it's rather brief, so great video anyways!

The way i noticed the Wild East(or whatever it was called) little sounds in A Mother's Love but i never noticed Ceroba's motif being literally everywhere 😭😭 Anyway, this is a great video. The mask changing its color when the motif is there is really helpful. Thanks
I'm planning on an Undertale Yellow song focusing on Clover's leitmotif (Justice)
But I think I'll include some others like Ceroba's (Blossom) as well, which means more lyrics to work with. =)

Did you know that there are 2 versions of Medium? There's the neutral version and the pacifist version. (Ruthless version is just neutral Medium slowed down) So people know, the pacifist version is the Medium seen here.

I love when the main character clearly isn’t the most important character
Trial by fury only has one time her motif plays in it because she's giving you a trial by her fury so all her focus is going into her fury rather than into her song
Kind of sounds like disbelief papyrus theme
This one was a pretty cool character when I got spoiled on the ending I reset to do a genocide so clover won’t die but I would’ve chose to spare her because everyone can be a good person if they just try and everyone makes mistakes and all that
Also killing her wouldn’t have fixed any problems other than punishing her and fulfilling her death wish(which was to die)

you should've put in the unused version of A mother's love/early version of Trial By Fury that's called Unforgiving (or a mothers love temp or smth like that)
I like to think of it as more of the Ketsukane motif
I'd say we need a video showing every motif that A Mother's Love uses, but someone already did that. :/

@@NexoNexus Why? The genocide ending isn't "cannon" (I know the whole game isnt cannon but the genocide ending doesn't line up with the events of UT)
@@GamingwithPortals Martlet mentioned that monsters and humans can emit their own music under certain conditions, therefore enemy retreating is clover's theme (there's a reason why trial by fury and remedy have the enemy retreating motif)

Ok I see her as an OK character, but we don’t even meet her until dunes, and then during Steamworks, she’s just forced onto us. Let’s compare her to who I think she’s meant to parallel in Undertale, the Dreemurr family.
She does well when comparing to the grief Asgore and Toriel experience, but when compared as a major character…well, she doesn’t do so well. Great theme though :)

Oh... that makes sense when you say it. Chujin was a boss monster, Kanako, too, but I think Ceroba was never confirmed to be one. That would make sense as to why Ceroba didn't inject herself.
