We've been to Corolla anumber of times. It's one of those rare places that is an escape from the fast pace of life with few to no commercial business and no chain stores or big box stores. You captured the vibe of the area. We love the lighthouse and whaleshead areas. Glad you did the off-roading.

I saw those shoe boxes on Zillow, they wanted 400k or so for these tiny homes, that seem to have been built mostly to rent out investors.. well..at least until the next hurricane gets there, as they did not bother puting them above the storm surge on stilts.
