    How do you update zoom when you use it on your desktop computer? There is no option to update.

    Do you have any videos about the same problems with other Programs on cellphones apps used for editing?

      @brightonwestvideo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have other videos about this, but the answer should be the same - use a physical green screen (and you'll probably need to select the green color in your editing program.)

      @@brightonwestvideo thank you I figured it out it was my lighting ! That was producing a glare so I had to get one of those ring lights. Thanks for the reply though! I subscribed

    How do I select a blue screen background instead of the default green? I didn't see that option in your video.

    • @brightonwestvideo

      At 3:15 in the video, you see at the bottom of the preview window, there is a tiny little oval. Click that, then choose the blue color in the preview window.

    I wear drop earrings (usually large silver hoops) during my Zoom meetings. I would like these to show, however when using the virtual backgrounds they always seem to vanish. Without using a green screen, is there any particular strategy I could use so these show better. I know little about photonics, lighting colors etc. Thanks for any advice in advance.

    Hello my preloaded zoom backgrounds disappeared on my desktop.
    On my phone they are still there.
    Do you have any insight.
    I have updated.
    I’ve had it working for years
    And I am not sure why did my preloaded images disappeared.
    I’ve uploaded again and they disappeared again?

    I most def have a green screen but it's telling me I do not when I check the box. Lighting is perfect so what's the issue?

    • @brightonwestvideo
      @brightonwestvideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never seen that. I know you can pick the color of the greenscreen - maybe the color doesn't match and you need to pick it.

    what is the technical cause of this? what to do if its impractical to use a green screen?

    • @brightonwestvideo
      @brightonwestvideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a computer trying to determine what is a person and what is not, so it's not perfect. But it's really impressive that it works as well as it does. The green screen makes it way easier on the computer - it just needs to know what is green and what is not.

      A green sheet would work - or you can paint your wall green.

      @@brightonwestvideo you should tell people that they might need to focus some type of lighting above and in front of them (and down onto the webcam), and that should take care of subject disappearing into background. After the light(s) is/are set up, then go into virtual background effects, and click first on small box that says "color" at bottom of next screen under your web window there, then move your mouse into web window anywhere behind subject in background, then click, and subject should now be shown in front of his background. Works for me every time!

    I have the same green screen as you. However, when I tell it that I have a green screen it gets worse. I did update to Zoom 5.6.7 but I will you that I have MacBookAir 2015 which has a tough time keeping up.

    • @brightonwestvideo
      @brightonwestvideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The green screen should help the MacBook air. You might need to adjust the color of green. When you are on the screen where you check that you have a physical greenscreen, there should be a little box in the lower right of the image (with text like "manually adjust the background color.") You need to click that little box, then click on the green background in the image.

      @@brightonwestvideo This appears to be on the preferences page or at least I found it there. I went back and found it in the session. It is not perfect but much better. I will probably need to update my poor little MacBook Air.

      @@marcmiller2478 You can also try lighting the background more evenly. Maybe one light on either side of you pointed at the background.
